Girlfriend

The filming took longer than expected because of Wayne; she was so out of it that we had to do a lot of re-takes. But it didn't affect my mood at all. Honestly, I enjoyed it as I was able to share the "behind-the-scenes" where there was no glitz or glamour—just the simple Isla who was working hard towards her dreams.

After wrapping up, we went to our house for dinner. Sa dining table, tahimik si Wayne at mistulang na-starstruck si Trisha kay Mama na siya mismong nag-serve ng mga pagkain. Jett and Triton were having a little conversation and I couldn't help but notice the small cut on his lip. Pakiramdam ko ay inilihim niya iyon sa ilang araw na hindi niya pakikipag-video chat sa akin. And why was that? What really happened?

Jett stood up, feeling comfortable around my mom. "Tita, thank you po sa masarap na dinner. Sa uulitin!"

"Huy! Ano ba? Nakakahiya!" kontra ni Trisha.

Mama laughed. "Next time ulit, okay? Pwede n'yo i-takeout 'yung ibang food na halos hindi naman nabawasan."

Jett immediately stretched his arms and shoulders and happily took the food container. "Bro, ano pa'ng tinatanga-tanga mo d'yan? Give me a hand!"

Triton grinned at his friend and was ready to comply, but I grabbed his hand. "Later, Jett. Please excuse us."

Mabilis na lumipad ang tingin ni Wayne sa gawi namin, pero hinatak ko na 'agad si Triton patungo sa backdoor. He looked at me cluelessly as we went to the indoor pool. Pauwi na sila, so I took this opportunity to confront him.

"Why do I feel like you're hiding something from me? I'm seriously worried. What happened?" panimula ko.

If he chose to hide it for my sake, then all the more reason I should know about it. I didn't intend to be a pushy person, but I also didn't want him to think that it was okay to keep it under his hat. 

"It's better to tell me the harsh truths than feed me with sweet lies," I said with displeasure.

His green eyes stared at me tenderly as he caressed my elbows. "Isla, I would never lie to you. Sasabihin ko, pero hindi ko alam kung paano ko sisimulan kasi..." He shut his eyes tightly. "...Bumabalik 'yung galit ko. I was fucking near to knocking up someone had I lost my control and went completely insane."

Bigla akong nakaramdam ng kaba sa sinabi niya. He opened his eyes and they were darkened with rage and the look of disgust was painted over his face. He stroked my arms using his thumbs as if it would calm him down.

"Remember the man that you saw outside the condo? Pauwi na ako nang nagka-banggan kami. He dropped your explicit photos—"

"What?!" napalakas ang boses ko sa sobrang pagkagulantang.

Triton tried to calm me down. "They're edited. He was fantasizing about you. He's your stalker and he recognized me. Siya ang naunang nanakit sa 'kin, pero nagpasalamat ako sa ginawa niya kasi nagkaro'n ako ng dahilan para bugbugin siya. Gusto ko sanang puruhan kaso lang nakita kami ng mga rumorondang pulis. Pareho kaming dinala sa presinto at mabuti na lang din may CCTV kaya napatunayan na siya ang nauna. What I did was an act of self-defense against that nasty piece of work. I pressed charges along with his other victims..."

I spoke with trembling lips. "So, there are other victims?!"

"Mas malala 'yung ginawa niya sa ibang babae and I don't want to go into details. Baka ako pa ang makulong kung sa 'yo niya ginawa ang mga 'yon. It was traumatizing... Even I, who got to see your edited photos, was livid. That man was sick! And I would never forgive myself if he laid his hands on you and did something badly. I was never a violent person, but he pushed my buttons..." his voice broke for he was really furious.
