Chapter 27
Park and Coffee
I couldn't sleep thinking about what Triton told me in their house. He warned me to not make him jealous. Kanino?
Could it be that... he also likes me? Siya na mismo ang nagsabi na he treats me differently from the other girls. We've been inseparable and sometimes mistaken as a couple.
"Triton likes me?" I said out loud as I sat on the bed because it was hard to believe.
Napa-ungol ako sabay sapo ng noo. I wish Rayiane was here!
I groaned again. Should I call my mom? No, it's better to tell her in person.
I prayed and tried to concentrate.
I closed my eyes and whispered the next words like some sort of magic. "Tulog... Tulog... Tulog... Tulog... Tulog... Tulog..."
Well, that turned out to be effective as I lost count when I fell asleep.
"Never mind!" I smiled in front of the mirror; the hem of my dress flowed dramatically as I turned around.
I somewhat found a white floral sleeveless dress in my closet last night, which was above the knee, and I just wore a light pink cardigan to cover my skin. And after curling the tips of my hair, I grabbed the white sling bag with Triton's key chain and headed out of my room. I put on white sneakers because I didn't want to expose the scars on my feet caused by the blisters.
Before going in, I received a text from Triton and he said that he brought me some food.
I couldn't contain my happiness when I saw him standing near the post—eyes on me while the rest of the girls were ogling him.
"They're obviously dating. Palaging magkasama, o. And look, Triton's even waiting for her," narinig kong sinabi ng isang babae sa mga kasama nito habang papalapit ako kay Triton.
"But does he actually like her? Wasn't his dad her head coach? Pity lang 'yan siguro," someone replied.
I smiled and ignored them. Triton scanned my outfit, revealing the ghost of a smile on his lips. On the other hand, he was in his usual getup: t-shirt, jeans, and low-cut sneakers. Simple, but he was the center of attention.
"Good morning! I'm glad you're okay now."
"Good morning, pretty!
I inhaled the morning breeze and breathed out with a big smile on my face. I heard his little laugh, making me blush so hard.
