Hobi cried the moment he heard Jungkook. He didn't want him to hear him and he was so happy the sun wasn't shining to see him. He didn't deserve to see such a horrid sight and he didn't want to scar the poor boy with the sight of him.

No matter what they said before...he was hideous now

He knew how he looked, he saw the scars and marks left on his body and he felt the pain still extremely present in his body. A part of the ground was painted in his blood and he was sure a few crimson marks merged with the grey walls especially after his head got hurt. His father had never punished him so badly before even if prior punishments lefts permanent marks on his body but never like this.

Hobi could feel how it was the end of his luck, his father punished him in the worst way possible and that was by making a wound just where his scar was, his father made sure he remembered who and what he was. Damaged and alone.

The fact that his body felt detached from his brain was another thing that worried him the slightest since it was nearly impossible to move without hearing a strange clicking sound in his leg which made a blinding pain flare up his whole leg to his back but the thing that worried him the most was that he was scared his friends would return for him.

A small part of him yearned for them to come back and for it to return back to normal but it was a hopeless dream and he knew it was about time his bubble needed to burst. The dark crimson liquid that now coated the torn sweater poorly hanging on his body was another sign of how he needed to stop the doomed fantasy of things going back to normal. The boys would be devestated at the sight of all the gifts they had given him and it was the biggest heartache to him after the one where he would lose them all.

Every single thing they gave him was destroyed and left as a reminder to him of what he did wrong. The things that brought him comfort and warmth were left in strips of fabric with some dirtied with blood and others most probably covered in tears and snot from how he tried to hold them together. It was all gone and there was nothing he could do to save them.

Well...except for one thing...

The only thing that was truly left hidden like a golden coin hidden in the ground was Mang. He was sure that Mang wasn't part of the destroyed items but it was too hard for him to actually look because he wouldn't know how to cope if it was destroyed as well. It was his only thing left and he deserved the hatred from his father since be still didn't regret loving his friends.

He made peace with the fact that they would never come near him again but unfortunately his hopes of them staying away for their own safety was crushed the second he heard the familiar voice of Jungkook. At first he thought he was dreaming again or perhaps getting delusional from the pain but when the conversation went on his heart was struck with pained happiness that was strongly overpowered with fear and sadness.

He needed to get him away even if it hurt him to tell him to go away. The fact that Jungkook kept apologising and didn't want to leave made him wish that Jungkook didn't have such a big heart for once because he didn't want the younger to see him, it wasn't a sight he would force upon anyone especially not with how damaged and unloveable it would make him.

He still wanted to remain the Hobi they remembered instead of the damaged and broken version. They called him sunshine so how could he live up to the name if he was willing to let go of his only sunshine in his life so easily because he was scared?

"K-Kookie....please...just go" The words were so hard to force out and he tried to block out the response Jungkook gave as he stared at the boy but the world felt like it came to stop when he saw a sight that made his body scream in panic.

Jungkook was moving forward, he was falling, he lost his grip and the panick in the boy's face made Hobi scream in fear when Jungkook fell through the window.

"J-JUNGKOOK!" Time moved so slow as he watched the boy fall inside falling onto the ground with a sickeningly loud crash and he stared with his breath held not believing what he had just saw. It couldn't be true. Jungkook didn't fall through the window, it was all a sick nightmare his mind made him live through. There was no possible way it was true.

"Jungkook?" He whispered as his breathing slowly returned and the fear gripped his heart fiercely but the moment it all hit him was when the boy on the floor let out a sharp cry and it illicited a sharp whine from Hobi who felt his heart shatter.

He didn't care about any of his injuries or reasons why he didn't want the boy to see him as he pushed himself away from the wall and crawled over to the boy who looked so still since he had not moved a single inch. He felt terrified of Jungkook's condition and hoped the fall was small enough for him to be okay or else he would go insane if Jungkook got harmed more seriously in a way nobody could help him.

"K-Kook? Jungk-kookie?"

"Hyung...." He hissed in pain and bit down hard on his bottom lip to stop himself from crying from the pain of moving around and it felt like relief washed over him when he reached the boy who had now groaned and given him the biggest sign of still being alive. He leaned over Jungkook to see his face and the moment he saw the youthful face up close for the first time it was also the moment Jungkook opened his eyes.

He took in the younger boy's condition and it felt like so many emotions passed through him at the realisation that this was Jungkook in front of him and he looked so young and even in the painful situation he could feel the warmth radiating from the younger. It was with hesitant hands that he took the younger's face in his hands as Jungkook just blinked at him with wide teary eyes which made Hobi panic.

Jungkook's face was cold but still so much warmer than he had ever felt. It had been so long since he had contact with someone else beside himself and the harsh hands of his father but the warm skin of his face was so soft and squishy that even if he tried to gently hold his head his cheeks still squished together. It was such a big contrast to his own cheeks but he could be in wonder of it later without the injuries sending warning signs to his brain.

"H-Hey Kook-ah are y-you okay? Did y-you get hurt? Please t-tell me you are o-okay" He whispered softly but still held the worry and concern in his tone but he held back the tears hoping the boy wasn't stuck with him.

If his father were to find him-

No no no no no

"Hobi-Hyung....Hobi" He was brought back out of his thoughts as he looked down at Jungkook who looked at him with tears pooling in his wide eyes and chin wobbling with his face looking distraught. Hobi wiped a tear that fell from his eyes with shaky fingers before he gently pulled the boy up making sure he didn't move anything that hurted before he held Jungkook in a side hug and when he looked down he saw the way Jungkook was cradling his arm tightly.

"I-It's okay...it's o-okay" Hobi coughed from the scratch in his throat knowing he had been talking too much at this point for the pain in his body and lungs especially. His breaths were still shaky and talking only made it worse but he wanted to comfort the younger.

Unfortunately for him when he looked back up at Jungkook with a small smile to comfort him the younger was silently sobbing before he reached out his arm that wasn't injured and touched Hobi's face which made him flinch in surprise and supressed fear.

He forgot why he wanted to hide away. He completely forgot about the horrible sight the younger must be exposed to and he felt so bad but just hoped that he would look away or just  ignore that he wasn't the same anymore. All Hobi wanted to do was help his friend even if his heart was filled with so much fear and sadness.

"H-Hyung....you...you are hurt...I'm sorry- so sorry" Hobi smiled gently at the boy as his eyes began to sting again before he held Jungkook tighter letting the warmth wrap around him as he patted the younger's hair with slow movements still feeling the pain with the simple movements. He made sure Jungkook couldn't see his face anymore but he could still hear Jungkook crying over it.

Even in his own pain Jungkook still cared about him and he didn't look disgusted but rather heartbroken. The short seconds of looking at the younger boy's eyes made him see it but it was only a matter of time before he could see the ugly sight underneath the blood and filth.

He really didn't wish the sight upon him but he was going to make sure he wouldn't feel bad and that he would get help to get out soon.

His comfort needed to go back to safety for him....he needed to go outside where his safe place was
