Hobi stared with wide eyes as everything happened so quickly that he was sure that the boy that ran never actually left but another part of him was also sure he skipped out on some parts or reality when Jungkook kept talking to his brothers. The other boy who had stayed behind when they went to fetch the rope had peaked into the window as well and just like Jungkook had asked nobody asked any questions besides from the panicked rambling that went from both sides as they asked if they were okay.
Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin were the ones who did the most talking as the others did all the preparing to get the rope to pull Jungkook out and Hobi only snapped out of it when Jungkook softly nudged his arm as he slowly pulled away from him. He looked back at the window and saw a long thick rope hanging down the window and at the end there was a medium sized loop that layed on the ground.
How did he miss that happening?
"O-Okay Jimin-ah hold the flashlight for me please. We need to move quickly before we get caught" Yoongi said as he looked through the window but he paused when he looked at Hobi again which Jungkook caught.
"I know we need to ask questions later but who-"
"No questions Hyung! We need to get out before we get caught by Mr Cha and it would end up horrible for everyone with us doing this" Jimin turned to the older boy who pressed his lips into a thin line before he nodded.
"Kook can you move?" Taehyung asked as he directed the light to Jungkook at the same time he nodded.
"Like I said I hurt my arm really badly and I think I sprained my ankle but I can move" He experimently moved his foot which made him let out a small wounded sound as his foot moved around but he just nodded his head before he turned to Hobi.
"Hyung...Hyung I know it wasn't a long time but it's time to decide. I can move but you can hardly move so if you are coming with then I need to help you up Hyung" Jungkook whispered to him as if it was their secret negotiation to not let the others mix in and a part of him felt relieved knowing the results would be between them.
He felt his heart speed up in his chest as all the conversations and all the words circled in his mind. It was so hard to decide to leave the place he grew up in and where he felt safe even if it was the place that hold nightmares inside. The sun was nowhere to be seen and if he looked around he would see the gray walls looming more over him in the time he had to decide if he wanted to stay or leave. The only light was the one shone inside from Taehyung and it was like a silent sentence in his mind that corrected his thoughts.
It was a sign...wasn't it? The people who brought comfort in his life was the same ones taking the place of the sunlight that always gave him comfort...
He frowned as he bit down on the inside of his cheek with all the memories of his father flashing by in front of his eyes and then the memories of himself alone and the memories following were the ones of the good days and all the bad days.
Family....he could be....part of an outside family with his friends?
No more hurt, no more darkness, no more loneliness....
A distant memory of his father shaking his head when he asked if he could ever live with him in the house and hide still made it's way to his mind and even if he understood it he still couldn't stop himself from wondering if his friends were right and he was lied too. If his father's words were true then his death was in his future truly but they also knew he existed so in the end all he truly could do was hang onto the hope and dreams in his heart.
With his heart beating loudly in his chest he took one look at Jungkook's face which looked so close to tears as he believed he was going to say no. He had decided and he needed to say it now before he got too scared.
