Hobi couldn't stop himself from leaning into the hug. It should have felt strange to hug someone you haven't known for long for such a long time but he felt so comfortable and warm being near the younger that it felt too safe to even question hugging or not hugging him. The two were sitting in silence as they anxiously awaited anyone to come and even if Jungkook believed his brothers would come and search for him soon he was still scared it would be too late.
He had already thought of a plan that he could execute if it was too late and his father found them but in the end the outcomes would never be clear until it happened which he hoped wouldn't. He just really hoped he would never find out what could happen since it wouldn't end up good at all.
With a deep sigh he relaxed his head against Jungkook's shoulder which was still such an odd feeling having the comfort and the warmth of someone willingly touching him. He wished he could experience the thing he silently yearned for in comfort and laughter but he was stuck in pain and fear even if he felt the safest for the first time in so long having someone physically next to him and holding him for no harmful reasons.
The time was just stretching longer and longer but he wasn't sure if his father would be returning at the night since he was still being punished with no food yet he never knew when his punishment would end and it was a cruel thought that if Jungkook wasn't found by the night then he would need to suffer a night without any food just like him and that was something he didn't want the younger to experience.
He had grown used to the empty and hollow feeling in the pit of his stomach but Jungkook must have not been used to it so he didn't want the boy to suffer without food, he wasn't the one who got punished like him and it was unfair towards him.
With another sigh he tightened his arms around Jungkook who was also staring at the window and it felt like they both silently knew the outcomes if time kept moving so fast. He absolutely loved having Jungkook so close to him, the comfort of having him so close and the smallest taste of happiness from what he saw between the brothers which he wanted so badly but even if he selfishly felt happy about having him near him he wished their hearts weren't so big and that Jungkook just accepted they wouldn't be able to see him again.
He wasn't so important to risk their safety....never
"I...I h-hope your brothers come soon" Hobi broke the silence and Jungkook looked up at him with his lips pressed into a thin line as he nodded.
"It's been a while, I wonder if Jin-Hyung and Namjoon-hyung is home yet since I'm sure if the others are still fighting they would have broken it up by now. Don't worry though Hyung, I'm sure they will come soon" His hope shined brighter than Hobi's would ever shine which he was sure of but it made him relieved since he was sure that it would be true since Jungkook was so sure of it.
If he was sure of it then it meant it was most likely to happen so he tried to hold onto the positiveness as he took in a deep breath letting his eyes shift between the window and the door.
"And when they come then we can both get patched up and hopefully only a light scolding for me" Jungkook laughed softly but Hobi caught a few of his words that sparked a side of his mind which questioned if he heard correctly or if it was just imagination.
"We?" He asked and Jungkook sat up slowly as he held onto his hurt arm before he tilted his head slightly in confusion which only made Hobi more bewildered at what Jungkook said since it was almost like he heard right but he was the one who didn't understand something that was so simply obvious in the other's eyes.
"Hyung....I won't leave you here hurt and starved....Hyung no, we finally have the opportunity to get you out if my Hyungs come! Jiminie-hyung and Tae-hyung won't allow you to stay here too after they find out your father hurts you and my parents would help you too!" Jungkook nodded his head as Hobi stared with wide eyes not uttering a single word.
