Janet's point of view.

- Next day, morning -

5 o'clock, ring of the alarm. Giving how yesterday went, I should feel everything but enthusiastic, but today I'm back to training, training the troops. Don't get me wrong, I love the lab, even with what happened this week I still love it, I love the atmosphere in there and feeling my neurons going at 100 mph through my head, faster than my thoughts, but I need a break, now. And that break will be done by doing something that doesn't fully require my mental abilities today, just quite a heavy voice.

If only my face could match the energy that I have, though. A look in the mirror and what I see is my eyes ringed with fatigue, the cold water on my face didn't do much, and I can feel my whole body quite sore, actually. I didn't thought that 4 hours of sleep would do such damage on the outside, I mean I don't think I'll be able to cover this up by any mean with makeup or else, I hope the sun will help for that.

Today calls for the laced boots, swing pants, and button shirt SSR outfit, combined with its iconic tie. A bit much to simply yell and shout at boys, but this will do, I guess. My badges and sunglasses, and of course, we top it all with a bun. A low, simple, and slicked bun without any strand of hair free, a bun whose goal is to not bring any attention from anyone.

But of course all of my products are quasi running empty, great, that's on me not taking any time for myself lately, and it will be on me being too poor to buy some product back, but not too poor to buy somebody its medication since I just have to. Thank you, mother. I don't have any other choice than to use a minimal amount of product, and simply pray for my hair to cooperate today for the sake of my own mental peace. I don't have any other solution than that, nor any time, I should be at the door already.

As I get ready to pass the door, I see  a note on the floor. Given the hour, it wasn't delivered today and must have been slid under the door yesterday, and I already know who is it from.

Only one person would do such a thing, only James would. Only James would write my name on a letter that is clearly delivered to me. I think it's silly in an quite adorable way, because I know why he does this. He told me once that my name was a pleasure to write, that it just made the pen go through a such harmonic routine, that it was like writing a musical note, a soft and pleasant musical note, he said.

"I passed at your place yesterday around 11, you must have been asleep already, though. I just wanted to see you and check on you, listen to your story of the day but it's okay we'll see each other tomorrow evening then. Don't forget to rest Jan', please.

Love, Bucky"

I can't help, I must look like a child with this smile, but this is just too pure. Usually I would put this letter with the other ones, with all these little attentions that he gave to me and that I preciously keep, but I think I'm going to keep this one with me today. With the week that I've had, I needed this touch of attention, and I think I'll also need it to finish this weekend.

"I love you too Buck'."

I wish I could say these words to him in person. I know I can, but I mean I love you, James. Not simply I love you. A deep love, and a deep love back. One day, maybe. In the meanwhile of him and I as us, or of me moving on from that imaginary idyl, if I ever can... I should be grateful to only have him in my life, to have such a pure soul in my life.
