𝙃𝙊𝙒 many years have passed, but my longing for my past friend still haunts me. If only I could turn back time or revisit the past, I would love to relive the moments when Jihoon and I were carefree kids with shared dreams and promises.
However, if there's one constant in life, it's change - it's inevitable. Yet here I am, accepting this truth while still dwelling in the past.
I didn't realize I had been staring at the vending machine for so long until someone tapped my shoulder. Thankfully...
Forget it! It's bad luck!
"Here," he said, holding out a can.
"Come on, it's best when it's still cold as ice"
Initially, I hesitated to take it. After what happened in the library, this guy had the nerve to approach me again. Eventually, I accepted the can from his hand, half-expecting him to play another prank like with my sticky note earlier.
What's gotten into him?
Did an angel finally knock some sense into him?
I observed him for a moment, then he started fidgeting and looking elsewhere.
Feeling no imminent danger, I turned and walked away. Just when I thought he wouldn't follow, I was wrong. He matched my pace once more, walking beside me. I sighed-what more did this guy want from me? He'd already pestered me enough today!
I stopped and faced him.
"Do you have all the free time in the world?" I asked sarcastically.
"Well, today I do," he answered earnestly, as if I hadn't been mocking him.
"I'm not in the mood right now!"
"I know, and I know a place where we can unwind."
"Listen, I'm not interested! If you have all this free time, go bother someone else!"
I was getting really annoyed. This guy just couldn't read people's emotions.
"Why are you so angry with me? What did I do?"
"Figure it out yourself!"
"Should I do that now or tomorrow?"
What the heck? I'm so done!
"Can't you see? I want to go home and rest, so please! Stop following me and go away!"
"Wow! Your temper is unmatched! That's cool!"
Oh, for heaven's sake! This guy is really getting on my nerves!
"I didn't come here to cater to your whims! If you're so popular, why not entertain your obsessed fans?"
"Was it because of the sticky note?"
I sighed deeply and clenched my fist. I almost wanted to throw the soda can at his face if I were a violent person.
"You jerk!" I muttered and quickly walked away.
"Hey! My name is Shinyu, not Jake!" he shouted back.
I lost my patience, I ran out of kindness! I ran as far as I could to get away from him. I couldn't stand him, I really couldn't!
When I finally stopped to catch my breath, I wondered if he was still following me. With a hesitant glance back, I was relieved not to see him. I was near my place, but instead of going home, I decided to go to the playground to calm down.
It was already dark, so I didn't expect to see kids playing. I sat on a swing and watched the sky.
The stars were sparse-the weather must not have been good. I forgot to check the forecast today, but it didn't matter. I was close to home, so I could run back if needed.
