𝘽𝙀𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙀 leaving my space for school, I asked Youngjae if the cat was still there, but he informed me that it had already left. However, he assured me that the cat would be fine and even mentioned that it wouldn't be the last time it would be around.

Last night, I barely slept because I was doing my homework. Not only that, but my habit took over again, and I completed all the parts assigned to us by Hannah. Unknowingly, I went the extra mile. If it weren't for the sticky note I saw, I wouldn't have stopped.

It doesn't mean that I thanked the guy for reminding me because he just reminded me of his arrogance. I never wanted to see him; in fact, I didn't want to go to school and expect him to disturb my solitude.

"You're early," Jay, the gamer guy, greeted me as soon as I entered the classroom.

"I rode my bike," I responded, and he went back to his hobby of playing games.

As I approached my seat, I suddenly imagined his presence with his cocky smile. I quickly snapped back to reality.

"Jay, right?" I tapped his shoulder.

"Hmm?"

"Do you mind swapping seats?" I asked.

Although I didn't want to give up my spot, for the sake of my sanity, I had to do it.

"Don't you like it there?"

"At first, but I don't want to be close to that guy."

"Who? Shinyu?"

"Who else? He's the only one who's been bothering me since the first day."

"Are you sure?"

"Sure about what?" I frowned, what does he mean about it?

"Swapping?"

"Yeah, if it's for my betterment, I would rather do it. After all, he's not bothering you."

"Okay!" He agreed. I was glad; he was easy to talk to. This gamer guy is so chill.

He stood up, gathered his stuff, and moved to my spot.

As I sat down and tried to settle into my new spot, I could still see outside, but I disliked feeling sandwiched. I knew Jay wasn't the type to meddle in others' business, but my past experiences always reminded me of being talked about behind my back and in front of me.

"Hey, are you done with our homework?" I asked him.

"Yeah, here, pass mine as well to Hannah."

"Okay!"

"Can I ask for a favor?"

"What is it?"

"No offense, but I can't handle too much conversation," he said.

I immediately made an apologetic gesture.

While waiting for others and the instructor, I picked up my sketchbook again and started drawing. Today, I felt inspired to illustrate the cat and me sitting together on a swing.

Isn't it a good idea? My mom always reminds me that no man is an island. Although I usually see myself alone, even after Jihoon left, my parents proved to me that it's somehow true.

Now, I can't stop wondering why that cat always roams around. Even Youngjae mentioned seeing it a hundred times. Is it possible that it has no owner? It has a collar and looks healthy, after all.

If I were to get a pet and it happened often, I would never let my pet leave again. What if bad guys harm my pet? Besides, what kind of owner abandons their pet?
