𝙎𝙊𝙈𝙀 people would run outside just to meet the rain. Some would just stare right through their window. Now, I understand why crying is also important. Since predicaments are always present, sometimes a good cry is an ease that embraces our cold souls.

As soon as I fully dried my hair using a hair blower, I stared at my own reflection, wondering what went wrong with me. If I hadn't met Jihoon, what would my life be like right now?

If it's this miserable already, what more if I hadn't met him?

Here I am again! Dohoon, get a life!

"You always blame Jihoon's absence whenever you don't feel okay," I murmured.

I sighed and walked to my closet to pick up some clothes. I wore a grey long-sleeve shirt paired with black checkered pajamas. Then, I drank a glass of water before returning to the fridge to get something I can offer to the person next to my room.

I should visit them to check on the cat. I thought it would be awkward to go there without giving something to him; those fruits he gave me were all sweet and delicious. It's embarrassing to say this, but I finished all of it in a day.

Staring inside my fridge was a challenge; I forgot that it's actually nearly empty. Only a bottle of water was inside and a few candies and yogurts.

"You haven't gone to the grocery store yet, Dohoon. Don't act surprised," I mumbled.

Then something caught my interest; I opened the freezer and there I saw the raw chicken wings. I almost forgot; my Mom actually stored some inside my bag. I remember how cold I felt during my trip just to find it.

I went back to my bed and crouched on the floor to pull my luggage below. I opened it, and just like I had expected, condiments and herbs and spices were secretly inserted below my basic necessities.

Mom really knows me, but it's illegal for her to insert stuff like this without my notice. If there's one thing my mom is best at, it's when she sneaks at me and puts anything inside my room when I'm not around. She would always tell me that she's just worried, which I totally understand.

Growing up, I got used to it; after all, a caring parent is what we all need.

"Thanks, Mom! Right on time!" I said.

Since I have nothing to give to my neighbor, I decided to just give him a dish instead. I prepared everything so I can cook teriyaki chicken wings since it's the only available ingredient that I have.

After 40 minutes of cooking, I felt relieved seeing the recipe I made. I thank my Dad for teaching me some recipes. He's a chef, so I used to watch him cook our meals until then; I was able to memorize some of it, and it includes the dish I just made.

I put it in a bowl and then placed it on a plate. I sighed as this is the first time that I'm doing something for someone who I don't consider as my friend. I used to share whatever I have with Jihoon, no matter how many or how small. He would even thank me for leaving him our meal sometimes when he's forced to eat vegetables all the time.

Finally, I was in front of the door, and I was ready to knock when it opened on its own.

"H-Hey!"

He was surprised when he saw me.

"Wait a minute, one moment please!" he said. I was confused by his reactions.

"Okay," I answered.

He then closed the door again. After a minute, he opened it and welcomed me.

"I'm s-sorry, I just had to clean a mess, the cat was playing and it dropped off my tumbler so the water splashed"

"It's okay, uhh...here," I said and offered what I brought.
