𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘾𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂 my phone, I saw the weather forecast, and it seemed like I had to prepare for an incoming storm. It's unfortunate that it's the day before my first-ever examination at this school.

I really wanted to be productive until the final day, but upon hearing the news, I lost some of my energy. I hope it won't rain heavily before I get home today.

I woke up early so that I had enough time to read some books and my reviewers. I don't have any interest in becoming the top student or anything like that. I just do what I can do; I don't need to force myself. However, that doesn't mean I can't be serious about it.

Moreover, I thought that if Shinyu found me to be a bookworm or a nerd, he would distance himself. After all, most people don't want to be friends with those who are academically serious. In my experience, most of my classmates complained about it. They would always get mad if I did group work alone, to the point that even my instructors had no choice but to exempt me.

Speaking of Shinyu, these past few days, he has rarely talked to me. Of course, he would still greet me every day, from morning to saying goodbye when we exit the classroom.

It felt refreshing to me, although I still find him annoying because there are times that I feel him staring at me as if he could scan through my soul. When I glanced at him, my instincts were always right.

I often caught him staring at me, but I thought it was better than him opening his mouth and saying something to me. At the end of the day, all I needed to do was ignore it.

However, there's one question that once kept me up all night...

Why is he so interested in a nobody like me?

Ever since I met him, he would always find a way to talk to me or do things with me. He would even ignore his admirers when he was with me.

I remember so many girls who tried their luck to ask him out, and I hated that I had to witness them sobbing after being rejected one by one. It was really tough when girls started asking me for help as if I were really close to him. To end their delusions and bring peace to my soul, I turned them down without saying a word. I simply walked away and acted like I never saw them.

"I heard Shinyu's about to accept modeling, a popular agency came here yesterday."

"What? Really?"

I was busy reading a textbook in the library when I overheard the people behind me.

Before I even arrived here, all eyes were on me, especially when I took the spot I am currently occupying. It felt like a crime to take the chair when all I wanted was to study peacefully. I overheard them talking about me, so I put on my headphones. When the battery ran out a few moments later, I had no choice but to listen to their conversation. I would have been glad if they had stopped talking about me, but they didn't.

"There's something strange about him, he never really cares about his reputation soaring high. But I saw him genuinely allowing people to take pictures with him."

"Wait, what!?"

"When was that?"

"I don't believe you!"

"Believe it or not, I saw it with my own eyes. To make you believe, I even had a chance to take a photo with him!"

"What!?" they exclaimed in unison, making a loud noise that caught the librarian's attention. The sound of the table bell echoed inside.

"Shh! Lower your voices, or others might hear us, and you might miss your chance."

"Why didn't you tell us?"
