Kara was currently on the phone with Kate. Her San Diego apartment was her favorite place she's stayed in so far. It was decorated even though this was her temporary home for four months, beach themed items littering the walls and pictures of her favorite people in her designated photo wall right when you walk right in.

The view of the beach was something she could never get tired of, she's forever a California girl. Her apartment now is just a true testament to her California roots. However, she was quite ready for a change of scenery.

"Kate, its not like its a big house," sighed Kara, while her phone was on her apartment counter. Kate on speaker, reporting from their house that was getting the finishing touches.

"Kara, I'm gonna hold your hand when I say this," said Kate through a laugh, making Kara chuckle a bit while she was cutting up some chicken for her salad wrap. Kate had just finished her basketball practice, so she decided to stop by the house to see it. "It's a pretty good size. I'm walking out to the backyard, one sec."

Kara smiled, she heard bustling on Kate's end meaning there was still some work being done. Which is fine, since they still have three weeks until they can completely move in.

"KARA! Did your parents tell you they built a basketball court, soccer area, and a pool?!" exclaimed Kate, her smile can be heard. Kara's eyebrows furrowed, but laughed in the end.

"Um, no actually. Maybe its the big surprise your mom was talking about."

Kate laughed through the phone. "Maybe. Also, the girls said they were more than happy to help us move in when the time comes in September. Classes would have already started, but they insisted. They really haven't stopped talking about you since you had met them."

Kara smiled. "That's sweet. You know, they all started following me on Instagram the minute I left you guys," said Kara, making Kate chuckle on the other line.

"Dude, I'm not even kidding, I found them watching national game highlights on the bus the other day from our scrimmage against Iowa State," said Kate. "I think you have new fans."

Kara laughed with Kate before Kate signaled to the constructors that she was leaving and all was looking good in the house.

"Okay, Kara. They also just said that they finish building a week before you come, so I'll come back and check again. But right now its looking so good," said Kate, after getting into her car preparing to drive to campus.

"I'm excited to live with you, Kate. I still remember when we were like four years old, and we were crying clinging onto each other because we didnt want to leave each other," laughed Kara remincising on their little years. Growing up with Kate has been one of her biggest blessings in her life.

"And it was even funnier that we saw each other the next morning," laughed Kate. "I gotta drive, but I'll talk to you later! I love you, Kar."

"I love you, Kate! Drive safe please!"

Kate arrived back to the apartments where the team was staying. Lisa signed off that Kate can live off campus with Kara, being that the house was only a ten minute drive away. Kate was beyond excited to live with her best friend, they have been wanting to since they were little.

"Caitlin!" yelled Kate through the apartment she shared with her. "I'm back."

Caitlin emerged from her room changed from her practice gear into sweatpants and an Eras tour shirt. Her hair was still wet, but brushed through.
