Kara's room was a mess. But a mess that would be taken care of, as she was packing at the speed of light. Three weeks worth of clothes were picked out by Kara, and thrown out onto her bed. Three weeks of casual clothing, training clothing, and three dresses just in case the team wants to go on a fancy dinner. Kara was only wearing a tank top and shorts, her hair pulled into a messy bun. Kate was in the kitchen, she could hear Kara rustling about her room and on call with her sister, Alex.

"And you know what, Alex? The worst is that he was nice. HE WAS NICE. NICE," huffed Kara, as she was folding clothes aggressively. "Now I'm going to have to start all over again, and you're probably, like, 'Kara what the fuck do you mean?'.I just started to like Caitlin, then this happens. So I'm going to have to emotionally detach from the fact that I like her but I fear I am too deep and-"

"Kara, babe, take a breath," said Alex through her phone on speaker. Kara paused and put her hands on her hips, taking a singular breath then going back into it.

"I took a breath," said Kara, immediately resuming her quick packing and folding. On the other end of the line, she heard Alex sigh. Alex was in fact pinching her nose as he listened to her sister rant.

"Like I have no reason to hate him. I mean, I wasn't going to be mean to him at all because I'm a mature adult but I was going to hate him, on the inside," huffed Kara, putting a pile of folded clothes into her large luggage.

Kate, who was in the kitchen, was eavesdropping. She found it hilarious, but also felt bad. Kara had just now noticed her liking to the basketball star. Kate knew how deep Kara got into crushes, and this was one bad knowing that Kara now has to be in denial.

"Okay, but Kara, is she officially dating him," asked Alex.

"No."

"Then, maybe it's just friendly for now," said Alex, which relieved Kara bit. But she was still unsettled. "From what you've told me, Caitlin is a bit flirty with you-"

"But that's probably just her personality-"

"Like who the hell bites their neck after pulling away from a hug?" asked Alex incredulously. "Anyways, just don't dwell on a guy. If they start dating, then be happy for her."

Kara sighed, throwing her head back and looking at her ceiling. "I know, I just need to tell this bitch in my head to get over this crush."

Alex laughed on the other end of the line. She was already in her hotel in Arizona. Kara would be flying out there tomorrow afternoon.

"Your time will come, Kara," smiled Alex through the phone. "I'm going to go get some food, text me when you fly out here. I love you."

"Love you, Alex, bye," said Kara before hanging up. She sighed, she'd managed to pack all the clothes she needed for three weeks in thirty minutes.

Kate knocked on her opened door, letting her know she was there. "Kar, you okay?"

Kara looked at her best friend, who was wearing one of her extra USA sweaters and white shorts. Coach Bluder gave them a day off before the team had to travel for exhibition games this weekend.

"Yeah, I think I got everything packed up," sighed Kara looking at the luggages that were organized with clothing in them. "What's up?"

"So, were you going to tell me that Caitlin bit your neck," asked Kate, folding her arms and leaning against the door frame. Kara's eye twitched.

"Well, it happened at the party," shrugged Kara, not wanting to talk about it any longer. Kate noticed, and just let it slide. She knew Kara's emotions were a tad fragile.
