Caitlin and Kara were having a peaceful drive. Iowas streets were busy at this time of the morning, as everyone was commuting to work. Caitlin immediately played her Taylor Swift mix once they got in the car.

"You excited for the camp?" asked Caitlin, as they had just arrived on the freeway.

"Yeah, first camp before big tournament seasons are important from what Alex has told me," said Kara. "No one really knows what to expect."

"That's exciting though. The rush of not knowing where things can go."

How poetic...much like how I didn't know where my feelings would go for you.

Kara nodded. "I guess so. It's just really important I make this roster."

"So important that you have to ditch me and our Wednesday coffees for three weeks?" asked Caitlin with a teasing smile, looking to Kara for a second before steering her eyes back to the road.

"Oops, sorry I'm just too good at soccer at this very moment," smirked Kara. "I guess they demand my attention and skill."

"I don't doubt them," said Caitlin. "I'm serious, you do some crazy work on the field."

"Thanks, Caitlin," said Kara, a small blush creeping up on her face. "What about you? How are you feeling for your upcoming season?"

Caitlin laughed. "You sound like the media when they come and ask us questions after open practices."

Kara laughed, "Not my intention. I hate the media too, though."

"I'm excited, being back with the girls is always refreshing. But it's a little daunting," said Caitlin. "I mean, the media coverage is getting more intense. After a good season last year, the media has just been breathing down our backs."

Kara nodded. She knew exactly how she felt. Being in Alex's shadow, or something like that, she watched Alex go through the best and worst times when it came to media. Caitlin's rise to fame was inevitable, she's watched enough of Kate's games to notice Caitlin definitely stood out.

"I get it," sighed Kara. "I've seen Alex go through it, and she made it out. No matter how brutal it got for her. You'll be fine."

Caitlin turned to look at Kara, who was only looking straight at the road in front of her. She didn't say anything, but instead let her right hand squeeze Kara's left hand twice. Kara looked down at Caitlin's hand that was still wrapped around her left one. Comfort is what she felt.

Kara looked at Caitlin's CarPlay. It said they had fifteen more minutes left of the drive. As that number got smaller, and their conversation carried on, she was beginning to get sad. Caitlin's hand was still on her left hand, and Kara didn't want her to ever let go. She didn't want to escape this peaceful moment where it was just her and Caitlin in the car listening to music.

Caitlin pulled up where her airline drop off was, Kara didn't want to get out of the car. And neither did Caitlin.

"Ready?" asked Caitlin, turning to Kara who just nodded with a small smile.

The both of them got out of the car, and each pulled a luggage out from Caitlin's trunk. Kara had a small smile on her face, and Caitlin reciprocated it. It was not for long did they stand a few feet away from each other as Kara pulled Caitlin into a hug.

Caitlin breathed in her scent, her addicting scent of sweet passion fruit. She squeezed the girl tight. She loved Kara hugs.

Kara eventually pulled away, unwillingly of course.
