4. Newlywed Bliss and Tiffs - Part 1

"Natasha tumhe kitni bar samjhaya hai mene ke iss ghar me har cheez Maa aur Mots ke marzi se hoti hai! Tum samajhti kyu nahi ho?"

Dhawal ran a hand through his hair, frustrated with Natasha's antics.

"Par Dhawal-"

"Life me kabhi bhi tumne apne mann ke alawa kisi aur ki suni hai? Aur kisi ki nahi to apne pati ki to baat sunn sakti ho na?" he glared at her, sitting down on the settee in front of their bed and leaning his elbows on his knees.

"Aisa bhi kya kar diya hai mene Dhawal? Tum bhi na itna overreact mat karo. Bas Sadar Bazar hi to gyi thi me. Han maana mene ke thoda late ho gaya mujhe aane me. Lekin isme aisi kya baat ho gayi ke tum itna gussa kar rahe ho." She entered the room behind him, indignant, unable to understand what was causing this reaction.

"To tum ye baat Maa ko bol ke bhi ja sakti thi na? Aur wese bhi abhi humari shadi ko kitne hi din hue hai? Jab wo bol rahi hai ke Pag Phere ki rasam kiye bina tum Pandya store ya apne ghar nahi ja sakti to itni jaldi kya machi hui thi tumhe?"

Dhawal couldn't understand why Natasha was creating all these problems. First all those apshaguns at their wedding. Then the way she went against Maa and prepared breakfast for all of them. And don't even mention Rakshabandhan waala kaand . When she knew their family did not celebrate it, why did she have to go and create another ruckus. If Dhawal hadn't caught her and Hetal Bhabhi tying rakhis, he would never have known. And now today she went to Sadar Bazar and met up with the vendors for Pandya store for monthly budget. This, in spite of knowing that she's not allowed to go to her house or Pandya store before her Pag Pheras. And she had returned just now. At dinner time.

Almost every other day since their wedding something or the other kept happening. Natasha's thought process and his family's weren't on the same wavelength. Somewhere or the other he kind of understood that all these rules and regulations were a bit hard for her to follow. She was a female and most of his family's rules were for the bahus. He could come and go as he pleased but she had to inform and take permission for everything. But she could have waited for the pooja to be over before running off or she could have asked her brothers to do the work today instead of going herself. Most of all she could have told him that she wanted to go. He would have thought of something.

Lekin nahi, iss ladki ko to sab apne aap hi karna hai

He was furious though that she didn't even think once about how it would all affect his family. He respected his Mots the most and if he had made some rules, he adhered to them. He had married Natasha because Mots told him it was the best thing to do.

Ye faisla kahi bhaari na pad jaeye mujhe

"Arey lekin main kaha Pandya store ya apne ghar ke andar gyi! Main to Shesh aur Mitthu se bhi bina mile wapis agyi. Thoda late hogaya mujhe kyuki koi auto hi nahi mil raha tha na!" she tried to explain to him.

"Ye bhi to Natasha! Tum mujhe call nahi kar sakti thi ke tumhe pick up kar lu? Ye akele itni raat ko aane ka kya shaunk chadha tha tumhe? Chalo wo chodo, tum auto se gayi hi kyu? Ab tum Makhwana parivar ki bahu ho, kuch to sochti, driver ke saath gaadi le jati! Aur ye koi aaj ki baat nahi hai....roz kuch na kuch aisa hota hai jisse Maa gets upset!"

"Dekho Dhawal, maana ke mujhe sochna chahiye tha...galti hui hai mujhse, pichle kuch dino se....jo kuch bhi ho raha hai...lekin it was not intentional. Aur tum bhi thoda kam overreact kar sakte ho. Main nayi hu iss ghar me...tumhe bhi to mujhe inn sab cheezon ke bare me batana chahiye tha na. Shadi se pehle to tumne ye sab kuch nahi bola." She tried to calm him down but he wasn't listening.
