But this contains ONLY tooth rotting fluff and cheesy romance. If you were looking for emotional update, please wait till I get this out of my system.

26. Newlywed Woes

Things were seemingly going quite well in Makhwana household. It had been only a couple days since Dhawal and Natasha's wedding and everyone except Amba and Amrish were happy for the newlyweds. The happiness of finally being together could be determined by the glow on the new couple's faces and almost everyone had caught them staring at each other at least once. The house rules were still the same for the bahus but Dhawal and Natasha sometimes intentionally ate a bit less with everyone else to have the rest of the dinner in their room together. Amba kept catching Hetal, Pranali, Dolly and Natasha gossiping, getting irritated by their ladies panchayat, sure in her mind that they were conspiring against her.

Dhawal had started going to the office with his brothers in the morning and starting off as a trainee trying to learn the ropes of the business and Natasha went to manage Pandya store for few hours in the morning when her brothers were off to college. Amba and Amrish didn't dare say anything for they knew Chiku would create a ruckus and of course, Isha would be affected as well. As long as she did her household chores on time, they had allowed this to happen. She did go to Pandya store but not her home yet because her pagpheras were still pending.

Dhawal and Natasha had decided among themselves that they wanted to go for further studies and attempt to do MBA since it would help Dhawal in the family business and Natasha too in expanding Pandya Store. But they hadn't yet told anyone in the family because well...for obvious reasons. It was way too soon to drop such bombs on everyone and they would try to ease Maa and Amrish into it. For now, they were just content to be with each other.

It was one such morning and Satyanarayan ki pooja was to be held in the house. Preparations were going on in full swing. Amba wanted to inaugurate them getting their family home back by something auspicious and well, Dhawal and Natasha's wedding had also taken place at the same time so it was a happy coincidence for them too that they would be starting their married life by conducting this pooja together as a newly married couple. It was said that it bought good luck to the house as well as in the life of the new couple. Not that Amba had wanted this to happen, but she was willing to let it go only for today for the sake of this pooja.

Natasha came freshly showered out of the bathroom to see Dhawal still lazing on the bed. They were going to be late if he kept at it like this.

"Dhawal! Utho aur jao nahane. Pooja shuru ho jaegi." , she told him.

"Hmm....ja raha hu." he replied, with a yawn. She was passing by to reach the dressing table when he grabbed her hand and pulled her back on to the bed with him swiftly making her land right on top of him, her wet hair falling in a curtain around their heads.

"Dhawal! Ye kya-" she scrambled, trying to get off him, flapping her arms and legs, surprised at his sudden move.

"Ooof!' came out of him as she accidentally elbowed him in the stomach, making her stop moving instantly.

"Oh no! I'm sorry! Lagi to nahi? Aise achanak se kheenchoge to aisa hi hoga na..." she told him, concerned, forgetting about their position and moving her hand down to caress his stomach where his t-shirt had ridden up from the movement, trying to ease the pain.

It was almost a minute before she realised that he hadn't replied and was completely silent. She looked up to see him gazing right back at her with a wide grin on his face.
