Umm..this one is really long so split it.

30. Family Ties

Chiku and Isha had left after the Holi fiasco and the situation had become even worse when Dhama suffered a stroke after hearing the devastating news. As it is, she was already weak from her previous attack and this had added to her worsening condition. Thankfully it was a minor one and hadn't affected her as much. She had been admitted to the hospital and was recovering there since the past few days.

Natasha was worried sick and wasn't able to concentrate on anything at home. She had been visiting Dhama everyday without fail and doing everything in her power to help out at both homes but it was taking a toll on her. She wanted to move to Pandya House to oversee everything since Shesh and Mitthu weren't able to manage by themselves but before she could even mention anything about this to Dhawal, he, seeing her anxiousness and worry had suggested to her himself that she move there for some time till everything settled down. In fact, to her surprise, he volunteered to go stay with her there to oversee the construction of Pandya Store while she took care of Dhama and her brothers went to college.

"Tum mere saath Pandya House me rahoge?" she asked, wanting to be sure that she had heard him correctly.

"Haan. Itne dino me maine bohot kuch seekh liya hai construction business ke baare me and it would be a good experience for me too. Wese bhi mujhe pata hai tum busy rahogi Dhama ka khayal rakhne me and Shesh and Mitthu ko iska koi knowledge nahi hai. Abhi dhyan dena padega nahi to baad me construction me problem hogi" he explained but she was still looking unsure.

"Par..."

"And Natasha ye sab baatein alag, par wo meri bhi to family hai na. Tumse shaadi ki hai maine. Tumhari family meri bhi responsibility hai. Dhama meri bhi dadi ki tarah hai. And Pandya store ka ye haal meri hi wajah se hua hai. I want to help out as much as possible. Tum kisi baat ki tension mat lo, we will do everything together" He held her shoulders and tried to make her understand.

"Par Dhawal...yaha koi nahi maanega ke tum mere saath mere ghar me raho. Maa aur Mots to...tumhe pata hai na. Mots khud kya, unhone to Bhaven Bhai, Chirag Bhaiya kisi ko kabhi apne sarural nahi jaane diya. Hetal Bhabhi tak ko apne ghar kabhi nahi jaane diya to tumhe kese..." She was not sure if Mots would even allow her to go let alone Dhawal.

"Tum wo sab mujh pe chod do. Tum packing karo bas. We will leave today only." He assured her and went downstairs to talk to Maa and Mots.

As expected, his suggestion was met with a violent refusal from Mots and as usual, Amba had started blaming Natasha for his behaviour. He knew this was going to happen as soon as he said he was leaving with her but he was astounded to hear that they didn't even want Natasha to go and tend to her grandmother.

"Do-do jawan bhai hai uske. Apni daadi ka khayal nahi rakh sakte hai kya? Tujhe apni baton me phasa ke yaha se le jana chahati hai wo. Tu samajh kyu nahi raha hai Bakuda!" Ama cried, trying to make her beloved son understand. She was afraid that she would lose him once he left this house.

"Maa...aap aisa kese bol sakte ho? Wo do ladke kaise unka dhyan rakhenge...kitni cheezein dekhni hoti hai ye to mujhse zyada aapko pata hai."he replied, unable to understand this behaviour. He knew his mother was difficult but he hadn't thought she would be this unfeeling, and that too being a women herself.

"Aur Mots...aap mano ya na mano. Pandya Store humari wajah se hi toota hai and ye humari responsibility banti hai...meri to sabse zyada Natasha ka pati hone ke naate ke uske reconstruction theek se ho. Humari wajah se uss family me kitni problems aai hai. Aur main ab aur Natasha pe iska burden nahi daalna chahta. I will see to it myself." He told them adamantly. He wasn't going to back off his responsibilities towards her or her family just because his own were being unnecessarily unreasonable.
