The reckless male elf that came looking for more advanced training flinches at every lash of the whip and crack of the rod. While the grey only put enough effort into the strikes to do superficial damage at worst the elf was also taking clumps of fur out of the buck's hide. With the black skin of the buck starkly contrasting with his fur and the surroundings the elf found the visual to be more violent than it actually was. In the younger elf's eyes he was tanning the fur right off of him.

About midway through the training from what they saw the elder brought out a quarterstaff full of holes along the metal top and bottom. Just getting NEAR the buck was enough to cause damage with how the streams of qi were billowing out of the ends of the weapon. Waving on the wind without gravity to tell them where to go.

If he couldn't see qi it would look like he was getting hurt by nothing at all but in reality the strands of qi lash at his defenses and almost always break through them with every strike. It was the same as getting struck by dozens of small whips so he had to shield a broader area than with the first weapon. If Jack took his eyes off of one of the weapons for a bit too long the other would come around and exact a hefty price for his mistake. The elf tossed the staff into the air as a distraction. Jack's eyes follow the bludgeon on its ascent upward. The buck realized his error too late as the whip wrapped around his torso with his arms pinned to his sides.

"You've done alright against defending yourself from attacks but what will you do against something like this?" He wraps the base of the whip around his wrist and then Jack feels a sudden draining sensation focused around the outrageously long bullwhip wrapped around his biceps and chest. The qi enhancing the muscles of his body are being sucked out and weakening him rapidly. The defense that he was using to protect himself from the strikes is easily drained into thin strips and syphoned into the whip.

It doesn't matter how much he struggles or what he does with his qi. If he tries repressing it the whip still snatches it away, he doesn't have the skill to form a meaningful defense against the whip with his qi so in the end Jack decides to try something else. Knowing he's going to be scolded but not seeing much in the way of another option, Jack uses his skill to drain what heat is left in the whip. He doesn't have much stored inside of him after the repeated heat expulsions and his own naturally occurring heat generation isn't near enough to start a fire at the moment.

'Why didn't I sit my fluffy ass in that fire before we did this?' He already knew the reason. Alhrana caught him cold first thing in the morning as soon as he woke up. He doesn't take heat from Nyxia because he doesn't want to hurt her by mistake. 'For the seventysixth time, fuck you Alhrana.' Draining as much heat as he can from the whip Jack feels the leather creak as the temperature dips lower and lower. Now the frost is building on the weapon as it becomes slightly more rigid.

"Nice try buck but that isn't going to work." He smiles at the buck as he tries to make the leather of the whip cold enough to crack and break. Slowly circling around him the elder wraps the buck up further making the intensity of the draining effect. "Whip is made from tougher monsters than you have ever seen and made by a master at leatherworking. You don't have a chance in hell of actually damaging it let alone freeze it enough to crack."

When they stop Jack is panting and hardly capable of moving at all. His knees giving out as the last of his qi fizzes out completely. The heavy cuffs on his arms and legs keep him kneeling with his back slightly arched. Looking up at the sky as he struggles to catch his breath.

"Alright, I can see something is distracting you. What is it?" The elder asks in the infernal beast tongue. His whip set on his hip as he crosses his arms in front of Jack.

"Nothing serious." Jack shakes his head. "It's basically over anyway. It's just mildly distracting."

"You mean that "rut" that Leoporcitae don't have?"
