'They killed all of these?' The apprentice craftsman looks out at the piles of bodies. His gaze worked around to find wrapped hides chilled and left to sit in the open. No ice wolf pelts but plenty of orc and gnoll. Reaching down he peels open one of the packages to find harvested meat, almost immediately throwing up before backing away.
He was informed to do a bit of snooping while master Han spoke with the Leoporcitae and the others. "Why didn't they send someone more qualified for this kind of thing?" He quietly whines to himself as he continues to look around. A pile of ashes off to the side was whipped up by the wind and blown right in his face. Causing a coughing fit as he stumbles back again. This time hitting something solid.
The snooper looks up and finds Alhrana staring down at him. His heart drops to his stomach as he realizes he's been caught already.
"Looks like I need to pay a visit to Silriv after all. Now what exactly were you hoping to find, boy?"
"I w-was i-instructed t-t-t-to-"
"Gather your spine and speak clearly." He speaks coldly. The oppressive weight of the elder's natural aura increases as the caught elf struggles to stop his teeth from chattering.
"I-I was instructed t-to see what happened." He gulps as he struggles to relay his orders from another grey. "Lady Sylgaya wished to see if anyone was harmed and Lady Silriv desired to know the capabilities of the hare." He chokes out. Having one Grey speak to him and then immediately getting summoned to another Grey's tower for two missions that happened to be the same thing put a huge weight on this apprentice. Now he was cornered by the last Grey he would want to see in this task. The one he was supposed to avoid has caught him.
'So now Sylgaya is involved.' Alhrana rubs his head as he fights his own building frustration. "Might as well tell the lot of the old fools to just bring their asses down here and judge him for themselves if they are so damn interested. Until then I have no time nor patience for their games." He grabs a slip of paper from under his coat and grabs the younger elf by his ear. Pulling him along to the back of the hut. "Wait here and don't say a word."
"G-Grey Alhr-"
"Not. A. Word." He warns before heading inside the tent for some ink made by Jack. The buck was still busy talking with the more than likely oblivious Han. 'The old fool probably doesn't know a thing. Coming to flap his gums about new prospects of forging sounds like him. A genius he may be but he is equally as oblivious to subterfuge and politics unrelated to his craft.' He thinks about it for a moment before sighing. 'Or perhaps he simply doesn't care and ignores it completely.'
Nyxia looks at the elf as he walks in, grabs what he is looking for and leaves with a polite wave. She shrugs and figures she could just tell Jack how weird his teacher was later.
When Han's curiosity is sated and he finds out that the items in question he was told about were simply crafted out of the materials of humanoids using multiple methods. It isn't anything all that uncommon here in the forest but this was the first time he was actually given the chance to learn of the more applicable uses of such materials in a place without loud judgement from his peers or the attempted attacks from those who normally use said materials.
"Why, he even said should he die and his body remain intact, that I am given permission to use his body to create any item I believed would work well with the quality of his materials should the mood strike me. I dare say I've never met such an interesting leoporcitae in all my days." He says with a joyful chuckle. After not receiving a response from the sentence he turns to look at his apprentice. The man clutching a piece of paper in his hand so tight it might just tear.
