I clenched my eyes at the sound of the gunshot. But then I wondered, Michael didn't have a gun. Who shot the bullet? I looked up and saw the remote fall from Michael's hand. When I looked in the direction, I saw Ahaan standing there holding the gun.

"What the fuck!" Michael screamed, blood flowing from his hand.

Ahaan was about to come toward me when Michael suddenly took the remote in his hand and shouted, "One step toward her, and she'll be dead."

Ahaan stopped dead in his tracks and looked at Michael. "Don't, please don't do anything to her," Ahaan shouted.

"Why shouldn't I? This bitch deserves to die," Michael laughed sinisterly.

"Look, do whatever you want to do with me. Leave her; she is innocent," Ahaan tried to explain.

"Shut up! Shut the fuck up! If you say one word for her and beg to untie her, I will not even wait a second to kill her. I'm tired of you begging to leave her. In fact, you should leave her. She doesn't deserve you," Michael said with utter seriousness.

Ahaan looked at me and said, "I would love to die rather than leave her. Without her, I am already a dead person. I can't even think of living a second without her." His voice was almost vulnerable, making tears fall from my eyes. I didn't know that Ahaan thought of me like that. If today is my last day, then his words are the only thing I want to hear in my last breath.

"Oh god! Now the amount of satisfaction I will feel in killing her is just incredible," Michael was about to press the button. At the same time, Ahaan shouted, "No, please don't. I will do what you say. You want me, I will be yours."

Michael looked shocked, and even I was shocked. How did Ahaan know? Even I found out today. "How did you know?" Michael asked, voicing my thoughts.

"I told him," a girl's voice came. I looked in the direction and saw Victoria standing there beside Ahaan, shocking both Michael and me. I looked at Ahaan in shock, and Ahaan nodded at me.

"Vic, what are you doing here?" Michael asked, shocked.

"Bhai, please leave her. You'll get nothing from killing her. The person you said you love will hate you, and I know you would not want that," Victoria said, her eyes teary.

I was shocked to hear these words from her. God, how many shocks will I get today? What's happening with everyone, and how did Ahaan manage to bring Victoria here, and why is she taking my side? What happened?

"No, I will not leave her. I know her husband brought you here to manipulate me, but I am not dumb. Today is her last day, and I will finish her," Michael said angrily, noticing his sister with Ahaan. He was about to press the button, at which Ahaan cried, "Nooooo."

Michael looked at Ahaan and said, "How much I wish you to cry for me, but you made the mistake of crying for her. How much I wish you loved me, but here you are, crying and begging to leave her. Do you know how much it hurts?"

Ahaan looked at Michael with sympathy but didn't say anything. I know he is speechless; everyone is. We never knew he was going through so much that it led him to kill people. His mental health made him a murderer. I gazed at Michael and saw how weak he looked. Love can make you stronger, but it can also make you weaker. Even a psychotic killer looks weak in love. Taking advantage of Michael's weak moment, Ahaan subtly took the remote from his hands. Ahaan came toward me and untied me from the bands on my wrists and head. I immediately hugged him, and the relief I felt was something I couldn't explain. He hugged me like a promise never to leave me. Michael looked up and realized his mistake in taking advantage of his weak moment.

"You cheated. You took advantage of my weak moment. You proved that you cannot show weakness, or people will take advantage of you. How can I be so stupid? This has been happening to me since childhood," Michael sadly laughed while saying these words.
