"Sanjana, please make sure to get these designs done at the end of the week " My boss Shannon pleaded
"Don't worry Shannon, I will do it before the weekend " I assured her
"God Sanjana you're such a lifesaver" She never misses showing how grateful she is. I liked this quality a lot she is the best boss and I love how she never makes anyone feel bad about themselves. She always tries to make people feel good in her company. I started working for this company 3 years ago. I was a rookie but Shannon still took me in her wing & believed in me, I always loved designing my outfits, and my imagination was always so good so I started creating them on paper and Shannon loved my design. She started considering it & now I am the main designer of this company. This company is neither too big nor too small but it has its reputation and the pay is also really good & I love what I am doing so I am happy working here.

I heard a ring & saw the caller ID was Mahek
"Hey, my beautiful bride-to-be, what's up?" I am immediately happy
"God, San I know you love me but please bare my ears baby " she laughed
"You're being mean and over dramatic to your baby now " I pouted knowing she couldn't see me. Silly me!
"Oh really, me and over-dramatic o please look who's talking" she sassed
"Ok ok now can we stop, tell me how come this beautiful bride got the time to call me as she was always busy with her one & only "I taunted knowing she was calling me because of her agendas
"There's no agenda behind me calling you so relax, " she said rolling her eyes
I am shocked how everyone knows what I am thinking without me saying
"Wow I didn't know you were a mind reader " I said
"I knew it because you were right I always called you because of some agenda but this time I called you for a serious reason, " she said in a serious tone
"Now you're scaring me, is everything okay, you & Rahul are good right?" I asked
Rahul is her fiancé & Mahek is my cousin's elder sister. Shiv's real sister
"Relax baby, everything is okay & we are good and we are getting hitched in one month so pack your bags and get ready you are coming to India " she exclaimed excitedly
"But isn't your marriage was in 6 months then how come this happened? " I asked her
"That's a very long story I will tell you some other time, our family is fixing a date for marriage so I decided to call you first and inform you, I am waiting for you and Shiv will send you the tickets and I will invite Jason and Maddison on call later Ok now bye "  she rushed
"Ok bye beautiful " I laughed at her silliness
"& Don't forget to talk to Shiv," she said
"Ok " I replied and disconnected the call

I reached home and saw Maddie lying on the couch watching This Summer I Turned Pretty. This girl is obsessed with Conrad while my baby is Jeremiah. I took a seat next to her
"Hey today Mahek called, " she said
"Yeah I know she is getting married in a month " I said while munching on chips
"Hmm poor girl " We laughed

My sisters are also friends with Maddie and Jason. When I started living with Maddie, my sisters used to video call me so one day I introduced them to my friends they instantly became friends and now whenever I talk to them on video call Maddie and Jason always join me and we all have little video call chit chats. Sometimes with my mom and dad too. Maddie and Jason are like family that's why they are also invited to the wedding.

"I have to call Shiv for flight tickets, Mahek told me he already booked tickets for us, " I told Maddie
She suddenly got stiffed by hearing Shiv's name

The story here is after I settled over here, true to his words, Shiv always came to visit me when he was on business tours, he stayed with us for a few days so when sometimes there was too much workload and I wouldn't be able to spend time with him then Maddie was there, she spent time with him and after spending so much time with him, she caught feelings for him and how can she not catch feelings for him, my brother knows how to treat a girl right.

He is been always like that, growing up with so many sisters so he knows how to love, respect and take care of the girls Maddie is the girl who never experienced this treatment because all the men she dated were douche bags now she is afraid that if confessed her feelings to him and he didn't return the same feeling then she will be heartbroken so in fear of being heartbroken she started ignoring him but I can see that how much she suffering, she started going on dates just to forget him.
I know Shiv also had feelings for her but he is a coward and now that she started ignoring him it's become harder for him to confess to her the feelings he is feeling. I tried to talk to both of them but both are stubborn so I leave it up to them. They look so good together I wish I could also have this type of love. I only have haters but no lovers.

"Please Mads, solve this thing that's going on between you two, I can't handle this tension between you guys anymore, " I told her straight
"There is no tension between us " she said but her face was all heated up. She was blushing like crazy
"Oh really but your cheeks are saying otherwise " I laughed at her tomato-looking face
"Shut up " she covered her face
I shake my head at her

I was sitting in my room and suddenly a thought popped up in my head, It was Mahek's wedding, so everyone was going to come including Ahaan Jain. I get goosebumps just thinking about him, what will happen when I have to face him? I have so many questions going on in my head. Is he still cold-hearted and rude to me? Will he again embarrass me by making fun of my body? Will he again show me how much I disgust him? Is he still hate me? But I hate him a lot that's for sure Now I'm having double thoughts about going to this wedding. Last few years I've tried my best to go to visit my family when he is not there and I've always succeeded as his family is our neighbour and mine & his family always invite each other over for dinners or lunch on Sundays.

I was still not ready to face him just by hearing his name, all the bad & unpleasant memories started coming back and attacked me in my heart.
I saw him on Instagram, Shiv posted a picture of himself and Ahaan. Ahaan is still super hot, he looks so rich in his Armani black suit, his hair all styled back. He is giving that old money vibes, I heard from Shiv that he earned all this success by himself by working hard. He brought his company from the 10th position to the 5th. I must say he is managing both the company and his body very well. I was such a duffer I didn't even think before confessing to him that he could get any girl with this body and looks, why would he go for me? I am not even close to the girls he likes.
When Shiv talks about him and the girls he goes on dates with, I feel the heaviness in my heart there is some burning sensation whenever I hear he is dating this or this girl. What can I even expect, he was my first love and I think he still is but now I turned this love into hate because I don't want to hurt myself again. I can't bear this pain, I've survived a long time ago but if it happens again then I won't be able to handle it.
