Long time No see

Her pov

You know the part where you plan everything for your future, then suddenly a big thunderstorm comes and everything is gone. The same is happening with me, how differently I planned my future to be & now where I am standing is different. I don't know what should I feel right now, I am engaged without knowing that I'm going to get engaged, and my dad forced me into drama which I don't know why he is doing. Ahaan is acting all calm. My family is not saying anything & here I am with so many damn questions in my head not letting me rest for a second. Everyone is acting like they know this is going to happen.

I am currently standing in a room in front of the mirror looking at my ring finger which is now carrying a diamond ring reminding me that I'm engaged with whom I hate the most. I can't believe this happened. I feel like I'm going to burst out, the pit in my stomach is not helping either. I am sad, confused, betrayed, angry and frustrated, so many feelings but no one is there to relieve them.

When I was 12 years old when I fell in love with Ahaan, I thought it was just a mere crush as I was young at that time. But I was wrong, this crush didn't go away until the age of 16. At that time I realised that this was not just a mere crush it was more than a crush. I confessed to him and at that particular time, I made my life's biggest mistake.

Past
She is sitting under the tree crying because some students in her class bullied her and shamed her, even though she was only 12 years old she knew everyone was making fun of her body and her eating habits. She was crying, and the chocolates that her sister gave to her were all scattered in the grass. Her hair got messy, her knees were hurting because some students pushed her & she fell. She was crying until she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She got a little scared and looked back and saw Ahaan standing there. She knew Ahaan didn't like her. He always talked to her elder sisters but he never tried to talk to her, even though he gets annoyed when she insists on playing with Shiv and him. He never said anything to her and he only talked to her when it was necessary. But whenever he talked to her, he always talked in a bored or annoyed or mocking tone. She thought that he also came to bully her.

Sanjana feared Ahaan that's why she never tried to cross him. But it is difficult to not cross him as Ahaan is Shiv's best friend and Shiv is also Sanjana's only friend or brother with whom she can play.
She looked up at Ahaan with teary eyes, Ahaan looked at her state, her scratched knee, with her teary eyes. First time in his life, he hates to look tears in her eyes. He can't admit it but, his blood was boiling looking at her in this state.
He gently held her hand shocked Sanjana but she didn't say anything
"Who did this? Why are you crying?" He asked sternly
"No...o on..e" she stuttered looking at his serious face, Ahaan could look a little scary when he gets serious. His 14-year-beautiful face looks a little mature when he gets serious.
"My bambina, tell me what happened?" He asked softly
She cried again hearing his soft voice, "They call me ugly and said that no one loves me because I'm fat " her precious tears falling down her face.
He pulled her into a tight hug and after breaking the hug, he held her face wiping her tears and said, "You're beautiful, no matter what others say, don't let others' words affect you, I know how beautiful and innocent little angel you are, my bambina " he cooed her, Sanjana felt little relaxed after hearing this words from the person she never expected to hear. From that moment, she started crushing over Ahaan.

She used to stay with her brother more than often just to stay with Ahaan. Ahaan also smiled at her, she thought it was two-sided but she was wrong, Ahaan only saw her as her best friend's sister. For a week no one bullied her, as in school she always sticks to her brother and Ahaan who are kind of famous in the school because of their looks and their grades. Ahaan was always been so good at studies. Nobody dared to talk bad about him, it fascinated her. Sanjana didn't know that there was someone who was also obsessed with Ahaan.
