Chapter 20

The next ten seconds were, I should say, the most awkward and tense ten seconds of my life. I felt Jace immediately kiss me back full force, pushing me against the wall. I wasn't used to such closeness with anyone other than Gavin. It felt uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to pull away.

Hearing Fredrick's dramatic gasp was the assurance I needed to pull away. When I did, I was breathing extremely hard, my hnad gripping onto Jace's arms. Jace was staring at me with such emotion. I felt a tinge of guilt for not feeling the same way.

"Violet!" Fredrick accused like an old lady to her granddaughter. I didn't know how to react so I shut the stall door and locked it this time.

"Open the door before both of you get into serious trouble!" Fredrick boomed from the other side. I honestly was.getting irritated. This wasn't what should be happening according to my plan.

"So?" I said. Jace gave me a funny look of confusion.

"What?" I spat to him. The lust that was palpable in his eyes changed to curiosity. I wanted to slap him.

Soon Jace realised I wasn't here for a makeout session. Oh hell no, it was way different. The stall door shook hard when Fredrick punched it but it brought no affect on me.

"Open the door!"

"No!" I shouted back.

"Violet Pierce, you better open the door right this moment before I count to five."

I crossed my arms in annoyance. Fredrick started counting and I painstakingly waited for him to finish. I wasn't going anywhere. I didn't care the consequences. It can go to hell.

"Five," Fredrick completed. I waited for his next move. The guard stormed away from my stall and headed out of the boy's toilet. I had peace and quiet for now.

"He's going to come back soon so I don't have much time," I interrupted my silence, my anger brewing.

"What do you want?"

I laughed," like you don't know."

"I don't," Jace admiited lamely. I narrowed my eyes at him for his utter stupidity and obvious facade.

I slapped him on the face.

"You still have the decency to act innocent when all you've done is ruined my life?"

"You put yourself to it. I did nothing," Jace said.

"Nothing? You really have a small brain, Jace, did you know that?" I slapped him on the face but he intercepted it too quickly.

"Don't call me or blame me for things that you caused!" he boomed straight into my face, his was red.

"Me? It was you! You brought me down in school and now you took the one person I care about," I screamed at him. Tears welled in my eyes due to the overflow of emotions.
