“What do you want?” I asked Sasha, bitterness laced in every word.
She glared at me with her hazel eyes, arms on her hips.
“I should be asking you that question. What’s going on between you and Gavin?”
‘It’s none of your business,” I simply stated, walking past her. Uneasiness swelled in me whenever I’m around her. It doesn’t really help me endure her annoyance knowing the fact that she’s jealous of me. I rolled my eyes at her paranoia.
I felt her hand gripping my arm, not wanting to let me go.
“Hey, it is my business when my family is involved.”
I gave out an abrupt snort.
“You’re family? If I’m not wrong, you’re supposed to love your family members. Not fall in love with them,” I countered.
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“I already did. It’s NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!” I stormed off, hoping that would warn her not to disturb me any longer. One more word from her and the wall that’s been protecting my anger would Afall apart.
I felt her hand grip my arm.
“That’s not how you should treat the people living in this house. You stay in my house, you follow my rules!”
I turned around and jerked my hand away from her, and pointed at her warningly, anger coursing through my veins. I let out a sarcastic laugh, earning a confused look from Sasha. To her, I looked crazy. Once the laughter dissipated, I decreased the distance between us, and came to close contact with her, the closeness making me gag inside.
“Don’t talk to me like that. If you didn’t notice I’m the guest here, so act nicer. So far this place has little hospitality. Oh, by the way, stop dreaming about having a love life with Gavin. Let me tell you, there’s only one word that describes your lust for him. Disgusting!”
Once I spat out the last word, a hand came and slapped hard across the cheek. The pain was like one million bees stinging at one area. The pain soared and I felt the skin going numb.
I slapped the person hard with my right hand, the force so strong I could hear the sound when the skin made contact. A hissed escaped Sasha’s lips immediately. Already there was a handprint of my hand on her cheek.
She took the slowest recovery anyone could ever imagine. Her face was flushed with anger, a blaze of indignation burning furiously in her eyes. She charged forward towards my direction. Unfortunately for her, I move swiftly to avoid her. My veins were pumping with adrenaline due to the atmosphere we’ve made. I have not fight for a long time.
“That’s how you fight? Someone like you would have no chance to be with Gavin, such a wimp,” I challenged. My emotions were running around crazily. The frustrations I’ve locked within me were flowing out smoothly, turning into anger and violence. I wanted something to get hit on, to let the stress out of my head, to stop this drama playing with my head. I was taunting her to come to me, so that I could release my anger on her. For now she was my prey of abuse.
“Shut up!”
Tears welled up in her eyes from the slap she had gotten. I smiled in satisfaction.
“I’ll get you for this Violet!” she went for another charge at me, and this time, I didn’t move away from her.
She brought her hand up again, ready for another slap on my face. I wanted to laugh at how girly she was fighting. If I fought like that when I was younger, I would have been dead by now. I immediately blocked her using my left arm, and planting a blow straight to her nose, the sounds of her bones brought felt like music to my ears. She fell back and covered her nose with her hands, tears already dripping down her cheek.
