Chapter 15
"That's all?" Sasha inquired, her manicured fingers under her chin, processing all that Jace had told her.
"Yeah," Jace answered, not sure if he had done the right thing telling his step sister all he knew about Violet and Gavin. He wanted her. But she wanted him. He faxed at Sasha, waiting for an answer or a solution for this. And yet, she was still thinking. The room became quiet. Ivy wasn't at home. It was just the two of them.
There was a tugging in Jace's heart the whole time. There was one question that stuck in his head like glue. He couldn't help but feel what he'd done was wrong. Should have I told Sasha?
Then again, he had no choice. He was frustrated with the new relationship between Gavin and Violet. He too, knew that Sasha wanted Gavin, and she too, was hurt from all of this. He reassured himself. Yes, it was the right thing to do.
"I've got it," Sasha announced," I've got the perfect plan."
"Well then, what is it?"
"It's pretty risky but its worth the try. But we need someone to join us. Then it can work," Sasha said. This brought confusion to Jace.
"Who?"
Sasha looked at me in the eye, disappointed that I couldn't think of who the person was.
Then, it hit me. It's risky, but we can try.
"Dad," we both said at the same time.

"The giraffe's pooping," I said in disgust. I didn't come here to see animals doing their business. It was a good thing the giraffe was far away from me. If not, I woudlnt have stand the smell.
"They're supposed to," Gavin said like it was the obvious. We were an hour late for feeding time, and I wondered how giraffes could already be distressing themselves. I revert my attention somewhere else, at the other giraffes that were roaming around slowly.
They looked trapped in the exhibition, their faces dull. Like they're dead inside. I remembered a time when I was like that. And looked at what happened to me now. At the same time, I looked down at my hands that were intertwined with Gavin's.
It happened to fast. This relationship thing we had together. I compared the past to now. From kidnapper to a...friend? Lover? I don't know. And for right now, like we promised, I shouldnt care. But I can't. I don't know if its just me or its a girl thing. But I need to know. The problem is, how was I going to ask him? Wouldn't it be awkward to if I initiate the conversation. I decide to ask later. When we're somewhere alone and not around the public.
It felt ironic the fact that o never wanted to be alone with my kidnapper a few weeks ago. But now, I do. I gave a small chuckle at the thought.
"What are you laughing about?" Gavin inquired as we moved on to other parts of the zoo. Majority of the guests were families, strolling while the children watch the animals in amazement. There were a couple of cliques of teenagers walking around and taking the rides on elephants that was available at only a specific time.
They had fancy cameras with them, raking pictures almost everywhere. The zoo even provides photograph services, where photographers will take pictures of the guest and passing them tickets so that they could claim their pictures before going home at the customer center, bear the souvenir shops.
"Let's go see the monkeys," Gavin announced. We were still holding hands the way through, which brought color to my cheeks.
I still couldn't believe we were already going out again. Well, I would consider going out or maybe even a date. But what did Gavin think? Was this just friends hanging out together? Or is it something more? My heart skipped a beat.
