Me and Giyuu started the "short" walk back to the headquarters, with one hour turning into five, and one day turning into two. I became extremely comfortable around giyuu after just a few hours. He didn't say much, but his presence was comforting. I didn't like walking in silence so I basically had a conversation with myself, besides Giyuus occasional nods or glances.
"Did you know spinal fluid tastes like bananas and batteries? What about-"
"How on earth do you know that?" Giyuu stoping walking at looked at me with a look mixed with concern and confusion. I also came to a hault upon him stopping.
'Wow thats the most emotion I've seen him show.'
"Thats not important." I wave my hand dismissively and continue talking, "plants also make noises but they're to quiet for humans to hear. Isn't that cool??"
I look over at Giyuu exited to be sharing random knowledge, something I loved doing. He glanced down at me and nodded.
'He's not even paying attention. Whatever.'
These mostly one sided conversations continued for another few hours with us occasionally stopping to rest under trees because of my horrible heat tolerance.
We also stopped at a small town for me to get clothing I could actually walk in, which consisted of clothing similar to what Giyuu was wearing, minus the haori and long sleeved shirt. After another long period of walking and talking to myself we took another break.
"Giyuu. You said it was a short walk. Its been 3 days I don't even remember what direction we came from." I look at him dead in the eyes while laying with my back in the grass under a oak tree.
The grass lightly tickled my cheek and the cool breeze felt nice. We were sat on top of a hill overlooking a huge forest with combinations of cherry trees and oak trees. Another soft breeze past over us.'I love the wind.'
"What are you talking about this is a short walk." Giyuu looked down at me with his usual blank expression. Ive gotten him to show emotion a couple times, mainly because of how disturbing the things I was saying were.
"Short? We've been walking for three days." I groaned and rolled onto my side.
"Exactly. Its only been three days." He sat down next to where I was laying and looked ahead. I flopped back over onto my back and looked at him. I suddenly had the urge to ask him questions.
"Giyuu."
"Hm?" He slightly glanced over at me, if its even considered a glance.
"Why did you join the demon slayers?"
"..."
'Was that personal? Oh crap I think I made him uncomfortable. I need to think before I talk oh my gosh y/n your terrible what if he hates me now-'
"My family got hurt my demons. I wanted to protect others. Thats all the reasoning I need." He replied, still looking forwards.
I turn my head back up at the sky, "Thats valid enough."
"We should get going, if we keep a nice pace we should arrive by late afternoon." Giyuu abruptly stood up and offered me a hand.
I was a little surprised at this, considering hes never ever done anything even close to this before. Never the less, I smiles brightly and accepted his hand before we started back on our way to the headquarters.

"Where here." Giyuu announced as we reached a huge looking building.
