I couldn't see anything. A thick cloth covered my (e/c) eyes, a gag in my mouth. My hands were tied tightly behind my back, the rope digging into my wrists. I didn't know where I was going, or what was going to happen to me. I could head low whispers around me couldn't make out what they were saying. I tried my best to remain calm, finding a solution to try and break free from whoever or whatever was taking me. The sun was hot, making my head spin from dehydration. I could escape whenever I wanted to... but I didn't have the energy and didn't care to much about what happened to me at this point. I haven't drunken or eaten anything sense yesterday... yesterday...

*Flashback*

"(Y/N)!!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. I was outside keeping my younger brother company as he chopped wood for our stove. I sighed, not wanting to move, and slowly made my way to the kitchen.
"Is there anything you need mother?" I try to mask my annoyance of having to walk all the way over here. (A whole 20 feet).
"Can you please go down to the market for me and grab some salt? I forgot I ran out and really need some." My mother smiled at me, knowing very well asking me to walk a mile for some salt would irritate me.
"Mother, with all due respect, for one thi-"
"Ill also let you but (F/f)." My mom cut me off and gave me an evil smile holding money in her extended hand.
"Why do you know all my weak points." I groan and take the money from her hand. Don't get me wrong, I love F/f, but I don't love the walk to go get f/f. Reluctantly, I go to my room and put on my f/c haori over my lose kimono, which I customized to have it with pants instead of the dress part. Mother says its not even a kimono anymore, but my father used to just say it looked like I just got bored. I slip my shoes on, and begin the long walk.

About 20 minutes later I finally make it to the small town after a long walk of regretting my life choices. I walk down the lively roads, lots happening everywhere despite it being evening. I spot my f/r and quickly run into the restaurant and head to the counter smiling.
"Aah, welcome y/n. Just the usual?" Old man komo asked me with a smile from the kitchen. I eagerly nod my head and take take a seat not to far from the main counter. My eyes roam the restaurant to see if they're any interesting people. 'A mother and screaming kid... lovely... an old couple aw thats sweet'. While I'm judging people old man komo comes over with my f/f and placed it on the table as my face lit up.
"Arigato old man komo!!" I say happily before beginning to eat.
"Haha no problem kid. Don't worry about paying this time around, sense you come in here every other day." Old man komo smiled warmly. I gratefully thanked him and continued to admire every bite before I ate it. 'I wouldn't mind dying if I got to eat this befo-'
"Aah y/n!!" A familiar voice booms from behind me. I quickly turn my head around and smile at the sight of a dark haired boy, with his dangling hanafuda earrings.
"Tanjiro!! Haven't seen you in forever!!" I stand up from my seat and hug him. My family has known Tanjiro's sense we moved into our small house in the forest. We both lost our fathers at around the same time as well, so it ended up bringing us closer. Despite me being a few years older we still shared a sibling like bond. "What happened to you? I haven't seen you or your family in years!! Its like you disappeared." I ask him with concern. I notice the sword at his side and a big box he has carried on his back. " ... and whats with the box?"
"Oh haha the box it's just... its not important. My family... got in an accident and me and Nezuko were the only ones to survive." He put a hand on the back of his neck and put on a sad smile. I stood there in shock at his words, not expecting them at all.
"Oh my gosh... Tanjiro... I'm so sorry..." I'm not sure what to say, but I try to be as nice as possible. I see that he looks sad, but he's done a good job of accepting it and moving on.
"Its ok y/n. It was a while ago and I have had Nezuko to help me through." He smiles warmly and we both sit back down at the table. We spend the next few minutes catching up, I find out he joined a group called the demon slayers who slay demons. In fact, I learned about the existence of demons at all. I had heard about them but never believed it, but seeing Tanjiro telling me all these stories, I knew he would never lie. He told be about a women he met named Tamayo and how his next mission was not to far from here. As he continued talking I noticed a deep cut he had on his hand.
"Tanjiro, can I have your hand for a second?" I looked up at him waiting for his approval.
"Ooh I know what your going to do. Sure id appreciate it!" He smiled at me and let me grab his hand. I took a small knife from my pocket and made a small cut on my left wrist, I set the knife back down, and gently with my right ringer, take some blood from my wrist and apply it on his deep cut. The cut instantly begins to fade until the cut disappears in a matter of seconds.
"I can never get over how amazing your ability is y/n." Tanjiro examines his wrist with a bright smile before looking back at me. "Are you sure its safe to do this is such a public area though?" His face had concern on it, as he didn't want anything bad to happen to me.
"It will be fiiiine." I wave my hand dismissively as the cut I made on myself fades as well. I shrug my shoulders, "nothings ever happened before so why would it change now?"
"Your so careless y/n... it makes me worry for your future." Tanjiro says with concern while smiling.
"Pphhfff its gonna be fine." I assure him, mostly trying to convince myself. I'm aware that my future is about as bright as a piece of coal, but I like to convince myself otherwise. I look at the sky and see how low the sun has become.
"Oh gosh, sorry Tanjiro but if I'm not home soon mother will beat the crap out of me." I quickly stand up and we say our good byes before I run into another store, buy some salt and begin the long walk home.
