"Fetch the physician, now!"

Everything was like a blur...

I feel so uneasy.

I panicked.

Shinobu.

I held her body close to me as I tried to wake her up.

Her eyes were closed and breathing is slow.

My world feels like in the verge of crumbling as I carried her back to our chambers.

Minutes felt like hours...

Waiting by her side, holding her hand and willing her to open her eyes.

The physician arrived, immediately began examining her. I paced the room, my worry growing with each passing second.

"Chill, man..." I heard Uzui called as they sat in the couch.

I looked at him with deadly eyes, he backed out and whistled.

Finally, the physician turned to me, his expression grave. "She's unconscious due to extreme stress, Your Excellency."

"Her body has shut down as a defense mechanism. It is advisable that she rests and avoids further stress."

I clenched my fists, the weight of the situation pressing down on me. "Will she be alright?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"For now, the Duchess is far from alright..." the physician admitted.

"Make her feel better then!" I couldn't help but to lash out and rose my voice.

The physician only bowed and turned to Shinobu.

"What she need is time, Your Excellency."

"What her body requires and needs are extreme rest. Physical rest, but also emotional and mental relief."

"Her disease was triggered by a trauma and anxiety"

"Too much stress can have severe consequences, to her Duchess." the physician explained.

"Now that her body is experiencing severe changes."

Changes?

"But I'll leave some calming herbs and instructions." The physician quickly added, now taking a quill and a piece of paper to write some things.

"Is she going to wake up soon?" I asked once more,

As anxiety grew as I wait for his answer.

The physician nodded. "I am not certain, when... But Her Grace, should wake up anytime,"

"But you must ensure she doesn't overexert herself."

I nodded, my mind racing with the implications.

I ordered Oliver to get the things that the physician needed for the medicine.

I went over the mattress and sat just beside her.

I'm sorry, my love...

How could I shield you from all that surrounding us?

How could I ease your burden when the weight of the responsibilities was so immense?

The physician left, and I resumed my vigil by Shinobu's side,

I dismissed the other commanding officer but before they could leave the room.
