"Farewell, Lady Tomioka!"
A wide smile appeared on my lips, raising my hand and wave it to bid a goodbye to Lady Suma. One of the wives of Captain Uzui Tengen.
She was smiling as big as her eyes and waving her hands like a kid.
"See you later, Lady Tomioka." Lady Hinatsuru also smiled and bowed.
A woman with a gentle expression on her face looked over the curtains of the carriage they were riding and calmly waved me a goodbye.
"Thank you for coming~" I smiled once more.
The other woman who silently looked over the carriage window, raising her thumbs up and smiled energetically. "I had fun today, Shinobu!"
"Makio!" Hinatsuru slapped her hand which made the Lady whine.
Chuckling at their actions, I bid them a final goodbye before starring at their carriage who slowly made it's way out the mansion's grounds.
"I'll be going as well, Lady Shinobu"
"Lady Mitsuri!" I ran towards the direction of her carriage.
She was about to enter but then stopped when she saw me running. And instead of waving, I informally took the opportunity and hugged her.
"Thank you for coming" I sighed in relief.
I heard the Lady chuckle before hugging back and slightly tapped my back. "I really enjoyed your company today, Lady Shinobu"
So did I...
I was the one who broke the and shook our hands, she winked at me playfully before stepping in to her carriage.
"Goodbye for now, My Lady~" she waved.
"Take care"
She showed her handkerchief on the window, blown by the wind and I couldn't help but to smile even more.
YES!
Once all of their carriage disappeared, I couldn't help but to sigh loudly.
"That went very well, My Lady"
Oliver and my handmaidens cheerfully clapped their hands in delight!
I nodded and smiled even more~
I did it! HA!
"You handled it pretty neatly" Oliver showed his thumbs up and assured me.
"I sure hope the Duke will be fine with it as well" I huffed.
Oliver was about to talk but he stopped. He only smiled as we all headed back inside.

Night time already arrived...
I finished dinner, took my evening bath and walk on the garden-
But no Giyu...
I would be a fool if I lied that I do not miss his presence.
We usually do those things together but tonight was different. Oliver also informed me that there are times that the Duke would probably go on unexpected expeditions with his knights and weren't be able to write a letter.
That thought made me huff a breath.
"Why didn't he even tried to write." I whispered.
Standing in front of the balcony, only wearing my night clothes with a warm silk robe to protect me from the cold breeze of the night.
From here, You could see the whole front of the mansion, the lights have been already lit by the butlers. I can still see some knights and guards roaming around for probably a night patrol.
I glance over the side of the east wing, where the new garden is located and saw the fountain with lights already on.
"I should be sleeping by now" I sighed once again.
But even if I wanted to- I still found myself walking around our shared bedroom.
Easing my mind about something.
I mean... what if he suddenly got ambushed?!
or WORSE-
But my train of thoughts were suddenly brushed off when I heard a ruckus.
Galloping horses have arrived in front of the main gate.
I couldn't see it clearly but I seem to familiarize the carriage!
Slowly once the gate has been opened, my eyes instantly widen when I saw who arrived-
FATHER.
