"Where are we going, sister?"

"Where are we?" I whispered with a trembling voice.

Trying to be as quiet as I can...

Tsutako pulled me towards the door, but I hesitated.

She didn't speak a word ever since we arrived through the dark hallways.

I didn't want to leave them!

I wanted to stay and fight, to protect my family. But the look in Father's eyes left no room for argument.

"Come on, Giyu" Tsutako urged, her voice breaking.

Is she leaving me behind?

"Promise?" her voice rose a bit, but I could still hear the softness in it.

Tears filled my eyes as I nodded.

"I promise," I choked out.

Then she slowly turned to me, caressing my cheek and suddenly she opened the small door and closing it once again!

Leaving me!

"Tsutako!" I wanted to scream, yet nothing came out...

I stayed hidden, I peered through the gap in the tapestry that was covering the crooked door.

But when I peered-

Tsutako!

I bit down on my lip to stifle a scream, tears streaming down my face.

My sister!

Lay lifeless on the floor...

I wanted to run to her, to help her! but I knew...
