Glimmer Belcourt POV
I am lying on my bed when I hear banging on my front door. I really don't want to get up, so I wait for someone to open it, hopefully. Then an angry Clove comes bursting through my bedroom door. "Glimmer, you are going to pay! Cato was going to ask me to be his girlfriend, but you had to text him that!" She screams. "You should know not to trust me with your secrets." I say. "Oh, you are so rude, Glimmer. He's probably crying in a corner over me! You suck!" Clove says with tears in her eyes. "Get out." I say calmly. "I will!" She says, slamming the door.
Cato Hadley POV
I am so mad at Clove! I love her so much and she had to like Finnick! Why! I am practically sitting in a pool of my own tears when I hear a knock on my door. "Come in." I say, sniffling. "Cato, I'm so sorry." Clove says, walking in. "I-I..." I cut her off. "It's fine! Like Finnick. I don't care. He's so much hotter than me and you know it!" I yell. It's very true. Basically, every girl in our school is drooling over him. "I'm so sorry, Cato." We look into each other's eyes, and I kiss her. She looks at me with her pretty, brown eyes and kisses me back. "I love you, Cato." She says. "I love you, too, Clove." I say. Cloves phone rings, and she answers it. "Hello. Cato's. Yeah, I will be home soon. Bye. Love you, too." She hangs up. "My mom says I have to go home. I will see you tomorrow." She says, kissing me on the cheek. She walks out of the room, and I sigh. I love her so much.
