❈ Being back in the labyrinth with a pirate was not on Helena's to-do list.
The pirate sat up on the floor and looked at her. "Who are you?"
"Me?" Helena said. "Who are you?"
"I asked first." The pirate said.
"Well, I asked second." Helena wanted to punch herself in the face. She was turning into Percy.
The pirate looked at her oddly. "I'm Ethan Nakumura. Now, will you tell me who you are?"
"Annabeth... Chase." Helena said slowly. She was totally going to drag her name through the dirt.
"No, you're not." Ethan narrowed his eyes at her. "I know who Chase is. You aren't her."
Damn it, her plan was foiled.
"You don't know that."
"I just said that I did."
"Well - You made a mistake, obviously."
"I don't make mistakes."
"Congratulations! How does it feel to make your first one?" Helena was pulling shit out her ass at this point. She didn't know who this guy was, and she really didn't want him to turn her in because he knew who she was -
"You're Helena, aren't you?"
The world must seriously hate her.
"No." Helena said, averting her eyes. How did he know? Was he another stalker? She looked at him suspiciously.
Ethan sighed harshly, getting to his feet and crossing his arms over his chest. "Helena Colette, daughter of Ares. That's you."
"No, it isn't. I'm not very comfortable with you making that assumption."
Ethan groaned. "Gods, you are exactly like your boyfriend."
Helena smiled. "Thank you."
"You're both infuriatingly annoying."
"Oh." She pursed her lips. "So, what are you doing down here?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you what you are doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with your happy go lucky group of heroes."
Ethan began walking away.
"Excellent question," Helena said, jogging slightly to catch up with him. She fell into step beside him. "Unfortunately, I don't have an excellent answer."
Ethan stopped walking and looked at her again. "Are you going to keep following me?"
"Yes."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously."
"I don't want you following me."
"I've got food." Helena held up the small bag of food she managed to swipe from the Andromeda.
Ethan groaned but kept walking.
Helena grinned. This was going to be the start of an excellent friendship

Ethan was surprisingly enjoying Helena's company.
He found it surprising since he usually wasn't one to indulge in unnecessary human interaction, but through the four or five days they had spent together, he had grown fond of her.
The two were sitting in some sort of basement kitchen or something like that. Helena had said it was something rich people had, so their maids and cooks had somewhere to make the food without bothering the other rich people. It was completely clean, and it was certainly still in use.
