"I know you and Tom have this weird twin telepathy thing, but please, could this stay between us?" I turned to him, our faces only inches apart. His arms were wrapped around me as we lay under the covers, our naked bodies pressed together.
He seemed a little hurt by my request but agreed, planting a small kiss on my forehead. "Whatever you want, princess."
"Could you give me something to wear? I'm going to take off. I'll call Gabrielle and get my purse, then I'll go home. I can't leave Bee alone for that long; I forgot to feed her," I said, pushing him away and sitting up on the side of the bed, my back facing him.
There was a moment of silence, in which I felt him watching me carefully, before he stood up and left the room, heading towards his. I quickly crawled to the other side of the bed and took the joint and the lighter from the bedside table. Fuck, I felt disgusting. But it wasn't about him; he was amazing, I was the problem.
He came back, threw a few pieces of clothing down next to me, and left again. I looked away, not daring to glance at his naked body in front of me. With the joint between my teeth, I examined the clothes he had given me: a pair of his flared jeans, a belt, a hoodie, and a fresh pair of boxers. Sweet.
I finished off the joint, put on his clothes, and took a look at myself in the mirror. I felt like a complete mess, but at least on the outside, I looked somewhat presentable. I took a quick piss, then gathered my own clothes and went to the kitchen to find at least a plastic bag to put them into. With no luck on my own, I walked towards Bill's room to ask him. I was about to knock, but before I could, a pair of hands slid around my waist. "So what happens now?"
"I don't know, Bill. I'm ending things with Tom, no doubt. I'll probably move out of Georg's house so I don't have to see him almost every day. The photoshoot earned me enough cash for a few months of rent, and I'll just look for some new job opportunities because I seemed to do well," I explained, staring at the door.
He walked in front of me, his hands moving up to my shoulders. "No, Lolita, I mean between us. What happens with us?" he asked, his dark eyes exploring my face.
"I can't do this right now, Bill. Even if I could, the press would eat us both alive," I sighed, unable to hold eye contact.
"I will wait for you, Lolita. I'll wait as long as you need. I love you; always have," he said, burying his face in my neck.
"I've got to go," I answered, holding back tears.
"My clothes fit you nicely. With the heels, my pants don't even seem that long," he whispered through a painful smile as he let me go.
"Goodbye, Bill," I said, leaving.
I walked down the street; Gabrielle's apartment building was just a few blocks away. The night was chilly, the sun had started to rise, and the celebrations had died down a bit. I would've asked Bill to call me a taxi, but I just needed some time to clear my head.

I sat on the couch, drinking my cup of coffee and watching the news. Fresh out of the shower, Bee was fed, and my mind was sober. Suddenly, the front door unlocked and Tom walked inside.
"Hey, I got your text and came as soon as possible. What's up?" he walked over and sat down next to me, reaching to kiss me, but I pulled away.
"I wanted you to stop by so you can collect your things from my room. Everything should be in the trash bag by my bed," I calmly explained, switching the channel to a reality show.
"Why are my things in a trash bag?" He looked at me, confused.
"Just take them and get your cheating ass out of my sight before I have to kick you out with a bat. You have until I finish my coffee to be gone," I spoke in a calm tone.
"When have I ever cheated on you?" He asked, indignant.
"Are you serious? Literally yesterday." My voice broke, but I tried to stay calm.
"The only person I had sex with yesterday was you," he answered.
"No, you didn't. The only person you had sex with yesterday was that blonde chick I saw under you in your car." I stood up to take my empty cup to the kitchen. "Your time is up. Go before I actually have to use the bat."
I looked back to see him silently heading towards my room. Idiot. I could understand if she was at least black-haired because, last time I saw him last night, he was really, really drunk, but that still wouldn't change anything anyways. I just can't believe he thought it was me.
A few minutes later, he was finally gone, and I decided to search for apartments close by. I opened my laptop with a sigh, realizing that everything will now change once again.
