The end of the week came by slowly but soon it was 2:30 pm on a Friday which meant it was officially summer time.
Lilly and Yeah-Yeah got closer and closer and by the end of the week he invited her to the sandlot so she could officially meet the gang. Plus he wanted to impress her, so he made sure to play his very best or atleast try.
Once Lilly was done putting her shoes on mission sneak out was a go. "Where you going lil" Julian said stopping her in her tracks. Mission failed. She mentally cursed at herself. Lillian was horrible at lying especially when it came to lying to Julian. Actually she never lied to her brother before, because she never had to. They told each other everything.
She had to think of something and quick.
"Uhmm, I'm going to Abby's house"
Lillian knew her friend was sick so she didn't have to worry about Abby going outside and ruining everything, unless Julian or someone went to check up on Abby and noticed Lillian wasn't where she said she would be.
Her brother looked at her for a minute before sending lily on her way.
Lillian finally reached the sandlot and she started to grow nervous, she wasn't the most charismatic person ever.
The boys were sitting around taking a break from their never ending game and Ham was the first one to spot her. "Yeah-yeah's girlfriends here, look."
"Yeah, yeah, shut up" yeah-yeah walking towards Lilly. The boys starting to make Kissing noises at the two.
Benny knew who she was right away. When him and Phillips use to be friends and play baseball together Lillian would always tag along and watch.
Yeah-Yeah pulled her into a hug and walked towards the boys that's were still being their childish selfs.
"Guys this is Lilian" Yeah-yeah said
"You talk about her all the time" Squints said in a yeah we already know tone. Both his and her cheeks turned a shade of pink which caused the boys to tease them.
"Leave em' alone guys" Benny said taking the attention of Lilly and Yeah-yeah. She looked at him and mouth thank you, he just shook it off and gave her an understanding nod.
"Do you have a nickname because Lillian is to girly, I don't like it " Ham said. All the boys nodded in agreement expect Benny and Yeah-yeah.
"Because Ham is such a wonderful name" she said sarcastically. Benny hide his mouth in the cress of his arm trying to hold in his chuckles
"Actually it's Hamilton" ham said matter-of-factly.
Even worse. She thought.
"So do you play baseball?" Scotty asked.
Lillian hated playing baseball, probably because she was never good at it but she could actually watch it all day and never get tired.
"No, I mean I know how too, I watch my brother Julian play but I'm no good"
"Of course she doesn't play, she a gir..." Ham stopped mid sentence processing what Lillian said.
"Wait did you say Julian?" Ham said, shocked
"As in Julian Phillips?" Squints added.
All the guys stood with their mouths ajar. Again expect Benny and Yeah-yeah because they already knew.
She nodded hesitantly, totally forgetting the fact that her brother and these guys didn't get along much.
Yeah-yeah looked from Lilly to his group of friends hoping nothing bad was gonna end up happening.
"She's a spy, she's spying on us for her evil brother" Bertram said overdramatically
"I ain't no spy" she said in disbelief. Why would he even think something like that? that's dumb.
Benny decided enough was enough and they needed to get back to their game. "Come on base up you block heads" he said snapping everyone out their current conversation.

Fanfiction"You need to allow me to help you" It's not that Lillian hated the sandlot boys, to be honest hate wasn't even in her vocabulary. It was more like she was forbidden to associate with the characters. but fate had other things in store. COPYRIGHT ©...
