It's been a full week since Yeah-yeah and Lillian's date. They've been officially going out for a week and they couldn't be happier.

Today just happened to be Lilly's birthday also known as The Fourth of July And
Julian finally decided to talk to his sister, even though it was just to say happy birthday, Lillian took what she could get.

Her parents wanted to throw her a huge party but Lilly being the person she was didn't want a party, she just wanted to watch the firework and be with her friends, which it was she planned to do.

La Bamba by Ritchie Valens boomed through the speakers filling the whole community with the hip swaying melody. It was about 6:40 pm and half of the town was outside having their annual cook-out for the fourth of July, the people veered from ages 6-50, the sight of faces she hadn't seen in almost forever made her smile.

Currently Lillian was dancing with yeah-yeah's younger sister having a great time. Yeah-yeah or the other sandlot boys were nowhere to be found which Lillian took notice of but she decided to live in the moment and not fret.

Once the song was over the two girls were breathing unevenly, the constant dancing was enough to tire them.
"Come on" Alexa (yeah-yeah's sister) said pulling Lillian to an available bench so they could rest.

The sound of a low chant was heard by lilly, soon the chanting grew louder and she could make out the tune of happy birthday being sung. Everyone else that wasn't singing caught on and started too.
Lilly knew it was for her and she couldn't help but feel tears welling up in her eyes. Tears of happiness and tears from being slightly terrified. She still wasn't use to so much people giving her attention, it was overwhelming.

She saw her parents, her boyfriend and the crew coming closer with a huge cake in their hands, yeah it was that huge it took all them to carry it.

Once the cake was on the table in front of her Lillian looked around at all the familiar faces smiling her way. She noticed her brother cheesing her way, she even thought she saw the face of Abby a few times.

Lilly blew out her candles but decided not to make a wish. What else could she wish for? She had everything she always wanted.

"Tiger lilly, over here" squints called out, getting her attention.
When Lillian turned her head in his direction she was met with a finger full of icing to the nose. She let out a squeal and threw her hands over her mouth to contain her laughter, Everyone else was laughing along with her, some even taking pictures of her.
"I'll get you back!" She playfully yelled at Squints.

After cleaning her face and making sure no icing got on her dress she took the biggest knife that was available and cut the cake evenly so everybody could get a piece. There was enough leftovers and Mrs.Phillips didn't want to have cake in her house for the next month so 2nds were available.

"Follow me" a voice whispered in Lillian's ear. She didn't have to question who it was, it was Yeah-yeah. She removed herself from her spot and hesitantly followed her boyfriend to the back of his house. He made sure to cover her eyes with his hands before leading the way.

When they were right where Yeah-yeah wanted them he removed his hands and waiting for Lilly's reaction to her birthday present he got her.

Lilly stood there with her mouth ajar, she couldn't string together the right words that would express her happiness.
"How!?" Was the first thing that escaped her mouth.

It was her prized possession, she totally thought she destroyed it beyond repair a few months ago. It was her bike, the thing she loved more then she loved herself. It was what brought her and Yeah-yeah together. It was sentimental to her.

"Well" Yeah-yeah went on telling the story of how her bike suddenly got fixed.
"Later that same day you messed I took it to my house and bought new parts for it. My uncle woks with car, bikes stuff like that, he tuned up the rest of it"

Lillian ran in the arms of her boyfriend and squeezed him untill he was slightly gasping for air. "Wait you bought new parts?" She asked, leaning back in their embrace so she could get a look at his face

"Mhmm. yeah,yeah"

"You didn't have to do that." Lilly wasn't to fond of people wasting money on her, especially if it was a lot of money.

"Don't worry it wasn't much" Yeah-yeah reassured her. Actually it took all his allowance money and he now Owe's a debt to Alexa but he wasn't gonna tell Lilly that.

"So are you gonna ride it?" He asked her excitedly, he wasn't sure why he was so happy. It wasn't his birthday but seeing her smile made him giddy.

"Hop on partner" She hollered in a bad cowgirl voice.
"Yeah..we'll work on that" yeah-yeah said, playfully. Which earned him a light slap on the arm.

He climbed on to the bike after Lilly did and grabbed on to her waist so he wouldn't fall "Where too?"She asked, looking at Yeah-yeah from the corner of her eye.

"The sandlot, I have a game."

She nodded and drove their at a decent speed. Her mother would throw a fit if she saw her riding a bike with a dress on, she would probably be shunned and scowled forever, but it wasn't like she didn't have shorts on under.

Once they entered the Sandlot yeah jumped off the bike and gave Lilly a kiss on the cheek before running to the diamond with the rest of the boys.
Deciding to stay and watch them Lilly drove around on her bike in the outer field, occasionally stopping to watch Benny swing or Kenny throw his heater ball.

"Let me pitch" Ham said, causing all the boys to groan. Ham wasn't a pitcher so him trying to pitch was just gonna slow their game down.
"Come" Ham whined "Just let me-"
The loud boom of fireworks broke out in the sky stopping Ham from his sentence.

Everyone looked up at the beautiful kaleidoscope of colors that illuminated the summer night, forgetting everything that happened 6 seconds ago. My he view was breathtaking.

"Babe come here" Yeah-yeah called out to Lilly. She didn't wanna look away from the amazing sky but she had to. She gently placed her bike down snd scurried across the dirt floor to the boy calling her name.

Once she was in front of him he also took his gaze off the sky and looked at his girlfriend. "Happy birthday" he said before crashing his lips on to her's passionately. Lillian was taken by surprised but without thinking twice she wrapped her arms around his neck and moved her lips in sync with his.

The other boys were to dazzled by the fireworks to even care what else was happening around them.
Lilly couldn't help but want to stay like this forever, but sadly all good things come to an end..
