The next day Lillian was up and early and downstairs to get breakfast. She was met with her mother and Father sitting around the table eating their toast and taking annoyingly loud sips of their hot coffee. She figured her brother was either still asleep or at the baseball field. She secretly missed going their with him and hanging out with his friends. She missed a lot of stuff but things change.

"Good morning" she greeted her parents before joining them and pour herself a bowl of Cheerios. "How was your birthday, sweetie" her dad asked her. Sadly he had to work an extra shift and couldn't make it.

"It was great, daddy" she smiled at him before stuffing a spoonful of cereal in her mouth.

"To make up for not being their maybe I could get you a new bike, I know you've been missing your old one terribly." He said

Lilly blushed sheepishly and swallowed the food in her mouth. "That won't be necessary dad." She reassured him.

"And whys that?" He asked taking a sip of his coffee.

"I've got one yesterday" she replied, to be honest she wasn't looking forward to this conversation.

Her mom looked at her in shock with matching faces as her dad. "You did?" Her mother asked not knowing. "Who bought it? I didn't see a bike in your presents yesterday"

Lillian sighed before further explaining. "Well, Alan bought me one"

"He bought you a bicycle?" Her mom asked in disbelief. She knew how expensive they were so it was hard to believe for her.

Lilly shook her head yes before stoping the motion and speaking up "Well no. He got my old one fixed"

Her parents calmed down a bit but they were still alarmed that he wasted a decent amount of money on their daughter.

"Why haven't we met this Alan boy, yet" Lillian's dad said grilling her.
"Mom did"
"I haven't" his voice began to rise, but not with anger he was just being one of those protective dads.

"Hey why don't you invite him to dinner tonight" Lillian's mom said giving her an award winning smile.

Honestly that was the last thing Lillian wanted to do. She could picture everything going downhill in her mind.
"Sure.."

Her father grunted before taking sip of his coffee. "Schools coming back around." He said changing the subject

"I know" Lillian sighed, moving her bangs away from her eyes. She didn't wanna start thinking about school. Time was moving to fast.

*skip a few hours*

"They wanna meet me?" Yeah-yeah asked slightly alarmed.

"Tonight. You don't have to come if you don't want to" Lilly gently grabbed ahold of his upper arm

"No I mean I want to go." He protested. "Just nervous, that's all"

"Well don't be, my folks are decent people, my dad may act big and scary but he wouldn't hurt a fly, honest" She smiled

"Will Julian be there"
At the sound of her brothers name Lilly hung her head low and nodded.

"Even better reason to go, we'll show him how happy we are." Yeah-yeah rubbed her arm and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"Haha great! My house at 8" Lillian gave him one last smile, guiding herself out his bedroom and saying bye to Alexia before heading back to her own house to get ready.

Yeah-yeah paced back and forth in his room nervous about dinner with Lillians' family and something that's been on his mind for a while. He's been holding a secret for half of the summer and he couldn't keep it in anymore. After the dinner tonight he was gonna tell her.
