The day starts as every other day does. We get out onto the lake and start digging holes. About an hour into digging, I hear Stanley's voice.
STANLEY: I found something
Me and the boys look over to see him talking to Dr. Pendanski.
STANLEY: It's a fossil. You see that?
DR. PENDANSKI: Well, that's interesting...
STANLEY: Do I get a day off?
X-Ray rushes over to Stanley, followed closely by the rest of us. We all look at what Dr. Pendanski is holding.
DR. PENDANSKI: What?
STANLEY: That's what Mr. Sir said... He said that, uh, if I found something interesting, I get the day off.
DR. PENDANSKI: Stanley, the Warden isn't interested in fossils.
He hands the rock back over to Stanley and wanders off. X-Ray glares at Stanley before heading back to his hole. The rest of us follow suit, Zigzag giving me a quick squeeze on the shoulders
Not even 30 seconds later, I hear X-Ray head over to Stanley again.
X-RAY: That was some lame shit you pulled.
STANLEY: What?
X-RAY: Look, man, you ever find something... give it to me. Understand? I've been here for over six months and never found anything. No one has. Why should you get a day off when you just got here?
Stanley just looks at him.
X-RAY: You know what I'm saying, it's only fair, right?
STANLEY: Right...
God, I guess I got the balls in the family. I don't know why he finds it so hard to stand up for himself. It's just sad.
About 5 hours later, everyone is done digging their holes and are all hanging out in the recroom. I've been catching up on some sleep in my tent for a while so I haven't actually been to the recroom today. I tie my hair up and head over.
I walk in and see a lot happening. A couple boys are play fighting eachother, some are just sitting on the couch. Squid, Magnet and Zero are all playing pool, Zigzag and Armpit are fighting over the broken TV. I see Stanley just standing alone and make my way over to him. However, as I walk I feel a hand grab my ass. I whirl around to see who it is and make eye contact with the one that I had a bad feeling about since day one, when he watched me get changed. Lump. I can see why they call him that. He just sits in that chair, unmoving and looking miserable. He smirks at me
Y/N: What the fuck!?!
I slap him across the face. The sheer volume of the slap causes everyone to look over at what is happening. Stanley rushes to my side. Lump leans forward and grabs my arm, trying to pull me on top of him. Stanley shoves him back. Finally some balls. Lump gets up out of the chair and grabs Stanley by his shirt. All of the D-Tent boys rush towards us and get in-between us and Lump. Zigzag immediately stands next to me and grabs my hand. Surprisingly, Squid pulls me behind him as he stand in front of me holding a pool stick.
X-RAY: Hey, just chill, okay, man, all right? Look, we start a fight now and the Warden will come down hard on all of us.
LUMP: Just keep that dick away from me!
Y/N: And you should keep yours away from me!
Shit. Why did I have to say anything? He looks me in the eyes and smirks.
LUMP: Are you sure? I think your lips would look pretty around-
Everything happened so fast. I feel like I blinked and missed it all. Before I was even aware, Zigzag is on top of Lump, beating him bloody. I'm pretty sure he planned on killing him. His knuckles are covered in blood and it splatters across the floor and the furniture with each hit he lands on Lump's face. X-Ray and Armpit are on him in seconds, trying to pull him off. They finally succeed and everyone just stands in a stunned silence. Zigzag storms out of the recroom and I follow close behind.
