Chapter 15- Tease (slight smut)

I scream as I hear the shot and spin around to see what happened. I let out a breath of relief when I see that Dr Pendanski only shot at the sky. Why the hell is wrong with him?

I run over to Zigzag.
Y/N: Hey, are you ok?
I gently try to grab his arm but he just shrugs me off him.
ZIGZAG: Leave me alone.
He walks off without sparing me a second glance. I look back at Squid with questioning eyes and he just shrugs and gestures for me to come back to him, so i do.
After a while of digging in an uncomfortable silence, the warden shows up. We all scramble out of our holes and watch as Dr Pendanski reports the incident to her.
DR PENDANSKI: Basically, Zero almost killed Ricky.
WARDEN: Basically?
ARMPIT: OK, so, Zigzag was beating up the Caveman, yeah? Then Zero started choking Zigzag out.
X-RAY: Yeah, I mean, Zig just got a little hot, working out all day in the sun and all...
WARDEN: Is this true Zigzag?
ZIGZAG: Yeah...
I notice that he glares at me subtly but no one else seems to catch it before he turns his attention back to the warden.
ZIGZAG: Its like X-Ray said, working out in the sun... while Caveman sits around and does nothing all day.
WARDEN: Excuse me? Caveman digs his hole just like everyone else
ZIGZAG: Sometimes...
WARDEN: Excuse me?
SQUID: Ma'am, Zero has been digging a part of Caveman's hole every day.
MR SIR: You're not digging holes no more?
STANLEY: I'm teaching him how to read...
Stanley then goes on to explain the whole deal that him and Zero made, and im internally cringing since I know how this conversation is going to go. Before I know it, Pendanski is in Zero's face taunting him and belittling him.
Y/N: Just leave him alone! He's a smart kid!
PENDANSKI: Smart? OK then, Zero what does D-I-G spell?
Zero looks down and my heart breaks for him. Just as im about to speak up, Zero suddenly smashes Dr Pendanski's face with a shovel, knocking him out cold. There's a collective gasp before Zero leans over the unconscious Pendanski.
ZERO: DIG!
He takes off running from the camp.
STANLEY: Go Zero!
Y/N: Zero! No!
What is he thinking, he's just a kid, he's got no food or water and its boiling hot... Zero isn't going to survive.

That night, we are all in our tent and everyone is talking about Zero's escape. Im sat on Squid's bed and he has his arm around my shoulders and I notice that Zigzag is staring at the floor with his jaw clenched. God, I feel like im back to day one when Squid was the one giving me death glares. I get up and walk to Zigzag.
Y/N: I want to talk to you.
Still, he ignores me. I huff and grab his shirt, pulling him up and dragging him out of the tent.
Y/N: What the hell is your problem!? First beating up Stanley and then glaring at me all day and now what, you're ignoring me?
ZIGZAG: Why do you even care?
Y/N: What?
ZIGZAG: Come on, Y/n, its obvious that you prefer Squid over me.
Y/N: Why would you say that?
ZIGZAG: I heard you guys last night. What he was doing to you. You only slept with me once...
Y/N: Are you serious?
ZIGZAG: And he's been touching you all day...
Y/N: Are you a fucking five year old!? Really!? You beat up my brother because you're mad at ME!?
He just shrugs, looking at the floor. As much as his childish attitude is pissing me off right now, I remember the incident with Lump. His condition. Of course, it will only make his thoughts worse, it will amplify them and make him act impulsively. I look at him, he seems so vulnerable.
Y/N: Look at me.
He looks up, finally meeting my eyes.
Y/N: Zig... I like you both equally, I promise you that
ZIGZAG: You gave him a nickname... you call him... Handsome...
I smile and tuck a stray strand of hair behind his ear.
Y/N: You want a nickname too?
His face lights up a little and he nods.
ZIGZAG: What about, sexy?
I burst out laughing.
Y/N: Im sorry, but I'll never be able to say that with a straight face. What about, "My love"?
He smiles widely before kissing me deeply, holding my face with one hand and pulling me closer with his other hand on my waist. I kiss him back just as lovingly.
ZIGZAG: I like that.
Y/N: Then its settled.
I go to head back into the tent but he grabs my arm and pulls me back into him for another hug, this time im facing away and his chest is pressing against my back. He buries his face in my neck and inhales deeply as if trying to surround himself with me entirely. I smile.
Y/N: Come on, my love, let's go back in
He shakes his head and tightens his grip, wanting to hold me for a while longer.
Y/N: Zig?
ZIGZAG: Mmm?
Y/N: Are you still ok with the situation between the three of us?
ZIGZAG: Yes, as long as you dont leave me out. Ever.
Y/N: I wouldn't dream of it.
I lean back into his touch more and my heart flutters in my chest when I feel his hands moving across my stomach and up my sides. His fingers lightly trace the sides of my breasts, making me gasp. I can feel him smirk against my neck as he cups them and his thumbs start gently playing with them, rubbing up and down, making me bite my lip. He continues until he can feel the hard peaks through my shirt. I feel his smirk widen against my neck and his hands move past my breasts and he places them on my shoulders. He gives a light squeeze.
ZIGZAG: You're right, we should head back inside now
Y/N: Tease.
ZIGZAG: You love it, Darling
He smacks my ass and I yelp, glaring at him playfully. He laughs and puts his arm around my waist, leading us back to the tent.
