It was Friday getting closer to Summer as I got up out of bed, Lip was sending me texts more frequently "Hope you slept well, I miss you" I smiled feeling butterflies "I miss you too, when can I see you?" I went to brush my teeth waiting for a reply, we had separate lives he worked while I slept and he'd take care of his siblings as I worked. During the weekends he would come to my house ready to smoke letting go of the stress from the stuff going on, he did have trouble opening up about it but the trust was there. Once I was finished brushing my teeth I went to the gaming room, phone in pocket still waiting for a text back. The day was going by painfully slow weed smoke erupting from my mouth every few minutes up until my shift later that day, taking a shower getting ready for the 4-11 scheduled today. Making my way to work there was still no message from Lip, it didn't seem like it was going to be a good one.
*Time Skip*
*Lip's P.O.V.*
It was 8 p.m. making my way up the porch stairs carrying takeout for the family, opening the front door Liam sat on the couch next to Carl as the ladies went on in the kitchen. Shuffling through the house to see what was going on Debbie, Fiona, Veronica and Kev were in the room. They all looked upset yet defeated as Frank was on the sidelines "You guys are so selfish!" she ran up the stairs as I set down the food "What happened now?" "We need to do something about Debbie and this baby problem" Fiona said resting her head in her hands "Listen if your little sister wants to take this responsibility in her life-..." "Shut up Frank" we chimed in. Our dad huffed leaving out the back door "So... where's Y/N?" Veronica asked in a taunting voice "Yeah she hasn't been by the alibi, did you get her to quit drinking?" he asked reminding me about AA. I shook my head "She has work tonight, I planned on surprising her when she gets home" I said pulling out a cigarette.

They looked at each other with smirks "I-I don't know why they do that..." Kev pointed out and I chuckled "Lip doing something special for his new girlfriend how sweet" Fiona teased I rolled my eyes "Why do you do this?" "It's because we like to see you happy especially since she's a good one this time" "Yeah Lip one of them tried to kill your ex with a car!" Kev exclaimed. I sighed finding myself fidgeting with my hands just like her "Yeah I um... don't think she's like that" "She is really great for you Lip, I don't see you with anyone else" Veronica said giving me a hug. I hugged her back awkwardly "Is anyone gonna be using the shower?" they all looked at each other "No" "I have to get ready to see her" I told them going up the stairs. Grabbing a great outfit and a towel, I got in the shower washing myself to every extent, even going higher by shaving a little bit. Somehow nobody walked in, as soon as I was done I grabbed my wallet going down the stairs.
Passing by Carl and Liam on the couch still they turned their heads looking at me "Going to see Y/N?" Carl asked me "Yeah" "I bet you shaved your balls" I looked around nervously then back at him "So what if I did?" "I hope you get some" he held out his hand to slap me up. I returned it going out the door on my way to buy something for Y/N, she didn't like flowers since she wasn't as feminine. I knew that she liked to smoke, so I decided to buy her a new bong. I went to the nearest smoke shop looked at all of them and chose one that I was sure she would like, it had Rick and Morty on it I noticed she had some merch in her apartment anyway. Once it was packaged I put the gift in a different box decorating it a little making my way to her house after, seeing all of my surroundings this late at night made me slightly worried about her. People fighting, drugs on the ground, the homeless being aggressive, hookers already on the corner at 10:30. I waited outside her place for over a half hour until she walked up not recognizing me since her eyes were dark, she must've had a long day.
*Y/N's P.O.V.*
My shift had ended customer after customer complained about everything I "did wrong" even though it was not up to their standards. A man stood in front of my complex, the area seemed foggy, my eyes shook, now my heart was racing. As I got closer he seemed to look like Lip, holding a box "Hey baby, it's me I know I didn't answer but... I wanted to do something special for you" we were face to face now. It was obvious how mentally exhausted I was, not physically but still the same "Can we do this in the house?" I asked shyly looking around behind me "S-Sure" he grabbed my hand as we went up the stairs. Once I shut the door he turned to me "I-I've been thinking about you, I got you this" "I'm sorry hun can I wash my face really quick?" he nodded looking at the ground for a moment as I went to the bathroom grabbing a face towel ready to soothe myself.
