*Y/N's P.O.V.*

After the call hung up anxiety cradled my heart running to his house in my tank top and some jeans the wind brushing against my skin hair whipping in my face as my shoes slapped across the sidewalk, before I knew it I was at his house Ian stood on the porch with a man in front of him who looked as if he meant business. I started to sweat wondering who it was, unlatching the gate I went up the stairs "DCFS" Ian told me with anger in his voice. Why was DCFS showing up to the house? What did Debbie do? I moved towards Ian as we folded our arms "Lip isn't here he's at work" I told him "An unannounced house check is in order on Alexandra Galves" my eyebrows furrowed looking at Ian, I didn't know that name "he didn't tell you?" Ian asked under his breath to the side "No..." he growled "Can you give us a second?" I asked him nicely "Second time" he warned us as we went into the house.

We stepped into the kitchen passing some random kids Ian's chest heaving as his jaw tightened "This girl Lip works with..." the front door swung open we didn't notice Fiona going to greet the worker "Why did they leave you out here? Come in" she sounded cheerful when we turned to see she brought him in "Who's taking care of all these children?" he sounded mortified "My sister Debbie" she called out for Debbie not getting a response "She's not here" Fiona continued "She went to plan- out her schedule for work" Ian said startling her "Oh hey Y/N" she said seeing me behind him "a-and is that an open hole in the ground?" The worker pointed at the floor "Oh that's uh also Debbie, she's been welding Debs!" she started calling again we rolled our eyes Lip came in the door seeing us all standing there the kids screaming in the crib "Who's this?" "He's with DCFS" Ian said angrily giving Fiona a glare. I whimpered knowing the house being in this condition wouldn't pass, we weren't gonna let him in "Why is she here?" he pointed at me sounding angry as well "I called her here" Ian said tossing his phone "We weren't gonna let him in-..." "Y/N don't" was all he said looking at the guy again "Look we still have a lot of changes to make on the house, if you come back-..." "This was an unannounced visit, Ms. Gallagher has already showed me enough" he walked towards the door "Wait-... I'm um trying to get a bunk bed, if you just give me another chance" "I'm sorry Phillip" he said walking towards the door "Wait!" I shrieked seeing Lip's face fall in disappointment, everyone's head turned to me after my plead.

Lip gave me a look as if he wanted me to be quiet, it was a look my dad had given me when he wanted to smack me to shut up. I ignored it looking at the man again "W-What if I told you I have my own place and an extra bedroom?" everyone's eyes lit up at my offer "If you can get your house appropriate for this girl and Lip can give me the address by the end of this week another visit will be due" he smiled at me maybe even checking me out as he opened up the door leaving. It was quiet for a few seconds until Lip screamed "Yes!" in joy he rushed over to me picking me up and twirling me around happily after he sat me down he locked eyes with Fiona "Why the fuck would you let him in?" his voice echoed through out the room she whimpered holding her hands in front of her chest "I-I didn't know he was DCFS" "He was holding a clipboard and wearing a suit! How stupid could you be?" We kept quiet "Look I just woke up, I really didn't know he was DCFS!" she tried to yell back but her voice cracked she was obviously drunk. Lip scoffed rolling his eyes "If it weren't for Y/N you could've fucked this all up!" he scolded her she cowardly stepped back flinching at his words "I'm sorry okay!" "You've been drinking during the day!" she groaned walking passed Ian and I trudging into the kitchen grabbing a beer "I've had a long week, if I want to drink..." she took a sip "Then I can" Ian shook his head "Your meds say you can't drink with them! Your always on me about mine" disgust in his tone.

I didn't know what to say everyone was arguing at this point, Lip was mad at me for a second but I still wasn't told the truth and now I was responsible for someone else's kid. I sat on the couch that still was putrid yet a scent of Lip and his cigarettes reached my nose as well, he must've been sleeping there while the girl slept in his bed I looked at him as he was arguing with his sister I had zoned them out since I was involved realizing Lip was so considerate of others, he sacrificed his life for his family and now this little girl. Fiona stomped up the stairs causing the boys to come in the room to see me "I'm going to sit here until you tell her the truth" Ian scolded as Lip sat next to me glancing at both of us anxiously "So um... The girl you basically just offered your gaming room to, her name is Xan, she's 10 and is the niece to this girl I used to hookup with..." "You mean the girl you worked with?" he nodded looking guilty "You didn't tell me that..." I muttered "I-I know but I'm telling you now, her mom left her with Eddie my uh coworker and never showed up to get her, then Eddie took off as well" I shook my head feeling bad for this girl.
