*Lip's P.O.V.*

After Y/N brought up that I knew Mandy the rest of lunch was quiet, in fact awkward Xan even knew something was up. It pissed me off that this was what would happen right after things were getting better again, we finished our food but she offered to pay the check I tried to refuse. In her words "She has money if this doesn't work out and I don't" this was going to get worse especially when we get home, on the walk back Xan glanced back and forth between us before saying anything "You guys need to figure this out before anything else happens" was all she said. I felt a lump in my throat as we turned on the corner getting closer "D-Don't worry about that sweetie" I told her as Y/N rummaged for the keys "Not if I can see it right in front of me" the key was jabbed into the door after Xan said that opening it quickly "Go to your room please" in a harsh strict tone Y/N directed. My jaw buckled as the little girl rushed away for what felt like a routine at this point "You didn't need to talk to her that way" "You don't get to sit here and tell me how to act!" her voice raised more than I've ever seen.

As she spoke with her hands and mouth "My ex did the same shit to me okay, he got with me while he wasn't over his own ex... he cheated with her I don't want to deal with that again!" tears ran down her cheeks turning red as each sob escaped her mouth, my guilt returning before she even told me that I was getting angry but now... I took a deep breath looking away "It's not like that" was all I could say. For a second she stopped crying breath bitching as she looked at me scoffing "The way you both were looking at each other, I doubt it" I was starting to get mad again before I caught myself "No Y/N it's really not like that, she moved away with her abusive boyfriend while she was cheating with me... I just found out she came back, she didn't even want to talk to me!" as I rambled out my defense she tried to control her breathing listening to everything I said "I-I just don't want to get hurt again..." she started to hyperventilate, I walked up to her giving her a tight hug "I promise you she doesn't want anything to do with me anymore" she nodded into my shoulder.

*Y/N's P.O.V.*

We stood there hugging for what felt like an eternity until I heard the door on my right opening "I have to go to the bathroom" a tiny voice said shyly we chuckled "It's okay sweet girl go ahead" Lip said smiling rubbing my back to comfort me. A few minutes passed Xan walked out back into her room "I um need some air" I told him "Oh damn I was gonna say the same thing" he laughed pulling away "You go first" "You sure?" he asked "Yeah I'll take longer than you" he nodded grabbing his jacket going out the door without a second thought. I sighed feeling anxious going to the bedroom to take my meds with some water, I closed the door after I took the pills grabbing my bong hitting it strongly. I then grabbed my dab pen hitting it even longer until my head felt cloudy, my eyes went low, my legs felt like jello and a little dizzy. I drank the rest of the water opening the door again with a struggle, it was like I barged it open making a lot of noise.

Xan swung open her door at a more controlled pace looking right at me "Are you okay?" I was shocked at her timing "Y-Yeah I'm fine" "You guys talked about it?" I nodded "Mhm" she folded her arms eyes on me still "Did you cry?" I felt my lip quiver "Y-Yes" she smiled at her guess "Let me guess he's not mad anymore?" "How'd you know all of this?" "No reason" she shrugged closing the door again as Lip came into the house "Hey" he said shutting it "Hey" "You can go on your walk now" he took off his jacket sitting on the couch again "I can watch her" he rubbed his hands together looking up at me with a charming smile "Well be careful because that child knows things" confusion struck his face as I made my way out with my bag around my shoulder. Weather staying the same since we had went out earlier I walked to the Alibi hoping I wouldn't see any backlash, a homeless man looked at me in a certain way where I felt completely unsafe. Practically running to the bar in heels was a hustle but I made it, Kev stood behind the bar looking shocked to see me and what I was wearing. Sitting at the bar feeling safer I ordered 4 shots not feeling everyone's eyes on me "Woah Y/N you usually wear... other things" I smirked "Well..." noticing Frank a few stools down.

Kev passed down the drinks looking into my eyes "What was the special occasion?" "Lip took Xan and I to lunch" he nodded with a smile "Sounds nice" "Well the waitress was someone he knew" he stopped eyes still on mine "Was she blonde or brunette?" I raised an eyebrow "Brunette..." he shook his head "I'll bring you more shots you actually have a reason to drink now" my heart raced hearing that Frank kept a distance waiting for Kev to explain "What?" "That was his ex, Mandy... of course she's working in a... what was it?" "Diner" "Yeah a diner, look Y/N that chick is crazy... she tried to kill his ex with a car, now she's brain damaged!" the last word being what set everyone's eyes back on us again. Kev waved his hands "Calm down everybody it's true, anyway it's a good thing you took him back as soon as you did..." "Do you think he'd cheat with her?" "T-That's your concern?" I raised an eyebrow at him "She could try and kill you too!" he stated the obvious "I doubt it, she didn't want anything to do with him when he tried to talk to her after they recognized each other" he stopped, looking at me in shock "He tried talking to her?!" I nodded feeling tears as I took the shots.
