River
The noisy cafeteria annoyed me, or maybe I had other reasons why my head was burning up. We had our private space at the cafeteria, so I went there using our private door.
I stopped dead in my tracks, thinking if I should approach them or not.
Right after I turned to leave, Beatrix called me. "Hey, River."
I had no other choice. Slowly, I turned again and faced them. "Hi," I greeted and joined them on the table.
When I sat, Clayton glanced at me, but he tore his eyes away when our eyes met.
You can't blame him, River. You're an idiot!
"What did he tell you last night when you met him?" asked Thara to Clayton.
He focused his eyes to his food before speaking. "He asked me to go out," he said, and I was quite curious on what they're talking about.
"We're talking about Harris," said Alex, which made me gulp. "Teka?
I waved my hand and a servant came to me. We did have our own servant and own kitchen in our private area at the cafeteria.
"Yes, Sir?" said the servant.
"The usual," I spoke, and I heard the girls continued talking about Harris.
"So what now? Are you going out with Harris?" asked Beatrix.
"Sir, your usual meal is not available right now," said the servant, taking my attention.
"What do you have there?" I asked. My eyes were focused to the servant, but my ears were focused to the girl's topic with Clayton.
"I told him I'm going to message him my answer.
"Sir, we have Chicken Parmesan, Buttered Shrimp, Garlic Pork, and Borsin Pork Chops," the servant said.
"Give me Chicken Parmesa," I responded.
It means he really like you."
"Sir," the servant spoke again. "How about your rice? Saffron or Jollof?"
"Saffron," I answered, still focusing on the girl's conversation.
