Sitting at the police station made me feel anxious. Now, I had to do it again by giving statement against Migo.

"Actually, we became friend just recently," I said. "He's a transferee student of Rio Grande University, and we only started talking a month ago."

"Gano'n ba," sambit niya. "Did you already visit his house?"

I shook my head. "Not yet, Sir."

"We went to his house and expand our investigation.

"I didn't know about that. Just like what I said, I never tried going to his house."

It's similar to the necklace that you're wearing right now."

Napayuko ako at napahawak sa aking leeg. It was the necklace that Papa gave me before he died. My head clouded with curiosity about the information I got.

"Did you know where he got the necklace?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied. "According to him, binigay raw 'yon sa kanya ng kanyang ama na si Mr. Romuald Laxamana."

My head became clouded with information that made me extremely confused. It was hard to process all the details and I struggled to make any sense of everything.

As far as I could remember, the necklace that my father gave me was a personalized one. I tried to sort my head to look for clarity, but I found it hard to focus with so many things going on in my head.

He raised a plastic where the necklace was placed. I took a moment to look at it, and it was really similar to my necklace. It made me fall into a vicious circle.

When done with the questioning, I stepped out of the interrogation room.

"What did the police say?" asked River.
