River

I was driving in late afternoon, on my way to Apex Apartment to see Clayton. She's not that old, but not that young as well. Perhaps five years older than us.

I observed Clayton's face, and he looked downcast while having a conversation with the unknown girl, making me feel curious and worried.

"River, anong ginagawa mo dito?"

My eyebrows met. "I'm your boyfriend. Do I need to ask permission to visit you?"

He flattened his lips for a smile. "You should have informed me at least."

I put both of my hands inside my pocket. "I'm not aware that I must inform you when I miss you," I replied, which made him smile.

"Fine," he said and rolled his eyes.

He averted his gaze from me. "She's Ate Evangelyn.

"Then why you look unhappy while talking to her?" I interrogated.

He snapped me a look. "Ahm... I just... I just found out that she's Migo's sister."

"Migo's sister?" I repeated.

"But be careful.

"Don't say that," he blurted. She's nice."

"Nice? How do you say so?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

He let out a heavy breath. "Because she didn't only came here to apologize, but to warn me."

My forehead furrowed. "Warn from what?"

He looked at me for a few seconds before speaking. "From the people around me.

It was clear from his face that he was feeling worried and curious. I recalled the problem he got in because of my mom, and I didn't want to make him feel even more upset since he already had a lot of stressors around him. I could tell that he needed some time to process everything, so I wanted to make him feel better.
