The fear of being exposed made my heart race. Nangyari na ang kinatatakutan ko. I agreed to Mr. Lav's plan to avoid being bullied by other students of Rio Grande, but I guessed that's where I would be heading one of these days.
My head fogged with ideas like leaving Rio Grande City and move to a new town or undergo with surgery to change my face and start anew.
While I was suffering in deep thoughts, someone knocked on my door. Tumayo naman ako upang pagbuksan ang kumakatok. When I opened it, I saw no one. I scanned the hallway, I saw nothing.
My eyes fell on the floor, and I saw a teddy bear there. Red paint splashed on my face.
"Look at him, he look like a fool!" a guy said laughing.
I threw them the stuff toy and they ran laughing like crazy monkeys. I went back inside my apartment, and when I saw my face with red paint on the mirror, my tears began falling.
I went to the shower room to wash. As the water streamed down my body, I couldn't help but overthink about my situation. At some point, I kept blaming my self, but on the other side, I felt mad because those bullies were the reason why I agreed to Mr. Lav's plan.
After showering ang putting my clothes, I received a call from River. I loosened a breath and shook my body so he won't notice that something bad happened to me.
"Hello," I spoke when I answered his call.
"How are you?" he asked with a soft voice.
"I'm good. I just ate my dinner," I responded, giving a pretentious lively voice.
"Something wrong?" he asked, and there's a shift in his voice.
"Nothing, I'm good," I answered,
"Tell me the truth," he forced.
"You're faking your voice, it's so obvious Clayton!" he spoke, and I could hear his annoyance through my phone.
I sighed and began explaining. "Some students from our school came here and gave me a teddy bear."
