Sakura pov

Sakura was walking around Konoha mindlessly as she didn't know what to do, her parents kicked her out stating that they no longer have money to feed and house her.

And with the upcoming war that will happen in a few weeks from now made Sakura feel helpless.

Usually she would train with Kurenai but she was currently on a last minute mission and was unavailable, and Sakura wanted to train with Tsunade but with the war coming soon the blonde hokage was already stress enough as it is.

Sakura then spotted Meiko working on the chakra disruption seal as she decided to help her old teammate out and possibly apologize for her attitude in the past.

Hey Meiko" Sakura greeted as she hoped her old teammate would respond to her.

Oh hey Sakura, sorry I cannot talk right now" Meiko said as she currently drawing up the seal in front of the Konoha main gate.

I came to help you" Sakura said as she glad that Meiko was at least talking to her.

Oh thank you" Meiko said as she handed Sakura a paint brush.

Follow the pattern of the chakra disruption seal and paint it around this entire fence for me please" Meiko said as she went back to work.

Right" Sakura said as she did exactly what Meiko told her to do with, as a hour has passed and Meiko decided to break the silence.

So Sakura how is training with baa-chan" Meiko asked.

I haven't started the training yet" Sakura said as she was surprised that Meiko was actually having a conversation with her.

So care to explain why you seem so tense around me" Meiko asked as in reality she already knew what her old teammate was going to say.

Listen Meiko I'm sorry for all the times I hit you and called you stupid, im just so used to having people to boss around and I took advantage of you" Sakura said as Meiko decided to play around with Sakura a bit.

Tell me why should I expect your apology" Meiko asked.

You don't have too, the fact that I took advantage of someone as nice as you and not even feel guilty about it shows me that I'm a horrible friend" Sakura said as she clenched her fist as tears began flowing down her face.

You were always better then me even though you were disguise as a boy at that time, my mom always taught me to let my teammates do the tough work while I just sit down and look pretty for the rich person on the team and possibly marry them in the future but know I can clearly see that the stupid plan my mom told me was wrong and cheap" Sakura said as she couldnt control her emotions as she began crying.

Sakura was about to leave when suddenly she felt someone hug her as she turned around and to her surprise she Meiko was the one who hugged her.

Sakura even though you were a horrible person in the past, the fact that you even have the guts to come and apologize to me shows that you have grown out of your fangirl faze" Meiko said.

B-but" Sakura tried to say something but no word came out her mouth.

Who you was in the past has no meaning to the strong and confident girl I see in front of me, so let's start over" Meiko smiled as she looked at Sakura.

My name is Meiko Uzumaki Namikaze, nice to meet you" Meiko said with a warm smile.

My name is Sakura" said Sakura as she decided to leave out her last name to signify that she no longer belongs to the Haruno family.

Well you name now is Sakura Namikaze" Meiko said as Sakura looked at with confusion evident on her face.

What do you mean" Sakura asked.

What else you are officially being adopted into my clan" Meiko said as Sakura gasped in surprise.

You have shown me that you are willing to put your differences aside and actually strive to become a strong kunoichi, so for that fact alone you are welcome to join my clan and with a actual family that will love you instead of those fakes ones how abandoned you for a dumbass reason" Meiko said.

Sakura smiled as she quickly ran and hugged her friend no best friend as she muttered two words.

Thank you" Sakura said as she was happy that she mended her relationship with Meiko.
