Gladiolus ~ The Maze Runner

A Message from the BOTTOM of My Heart

hi friends-

I was sitting in class one day and was miserable because I didn't really have stuff to look forward to. (must have been one too many failed shifting attempts that made me feel really depressed lol)

I spontaneously decided to start writing about a maze runner-based fanfic in google docs. I wrote four chapters worth of backstory and thought "What if I actually published this for other people to read?"

At school the next day, I said to my best friend, "Hey, what if I just wrote fanfiction because I'm bored?" and she was fully supportive and told me why not? So, I made a TikTok page to get my story out there, I relogged into a super old Wattpad account, spruced it up, and started publishing chapters.

My best friend was my first reader, voting and commenting on every single chapter, being so supportive to me from day one. The story slowly grew and my support on both social platforms began to make progress. I was blessed with finding WONDERFUL mutuals, both ones who wrote and ones who simply read my stories.

I kept writing and decided to create a Teen Wolf story. More ideas followed.

Now here I am, about four months later, with a completed fanfiction that 14-year-old me would DIE to read. And it's all because of you guys.

If I hadn't told my best friend, if I hadn't continued to write, if I didn't have the support that you guys devotedly express, this story would have stayed in my google docs and never seen the public eye. So, thank you.

I'm feeling very emotional right now because I love Hanna, Thomas, and the entire Maze Runner franchises with its amazing plot and characters. I really am going to miss writing this story because it has made me excited to wake up the next day simply to write more.

I'm already planning on writing a version of Gladiolus from Thomas's POV because this story will always have a special place in my heart.

I love you guys so so much and thank you for your support. It means the world to me.

Final shoutout to my best friend, who I will keep anonymous. I love you and you are my ride-or-die. Hanna's and Minho's friendship is based off of us, fun fact that I never shared until just now.

Thank you for everything. I can't wait to share my other stories with you all.
