A year had passed since that emotional evening at Giovanna's apartment. Lima had spent the last year focusing on herself, her work, and her friendships. She had managed to avoid contact with Billie, keeping her distance despite the occasional pull to reach out.

She's still designing Billie's outfits for the tour coming up and she's still her modeling partner.

For Billie, the year had been filled with a mix of uncertainty and hope. She had tried to move on after Lima's departure, but she couldn't shake off the memories of their time together. Every now and then, she would catch a glimpse of a woman who reminded her of Lima, or hear a song they used to listen to together, and feel the pang of nostalgia hit her all over again.

Over time, Billie had managed to bury her pain under layers of work and distractions. She had even briefly dated a couple of women, but none of them had managed to fill the void in her heart that Lima had left behind.

Billie's tour had finally arrived, and she was both excited and nervous. She had been preparing for months, and all her hard work was about to pay off.

But there was another reason for her nerves - today was the first time she would see Lima in over a year. The woman she still thought about every day, the one person she couldn't entirely erase from her mind.

"Yo Billie! Let's go we gotta pick Liam up!" Maya says from the car.

Billie's thoughts were interrupted by the voice of Maya, calling out to her from the car outside. She took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the encounter with Lima, and made her way to the car.

"Coming!" she called back, forcing herself to put on a smile.

As Billie climbed into the passenger seat, she tried to steady her racing heart

As Billie climbed into the passenger seat, she tried to steady her racing heart. Maya glanced over at her with a sympathetic smile, sensing her friend's nervousness. "You okay, girl?" she asked gently.

Billie forced a smile, hoping it looked genuine. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," she lied. "Just a little nervous, you know how it is."

Maya nodded, not pushing any further. "Well, don't worry. We'll have a great time tonight, okay?" She started the car and pulled out of the driveway, heading towards Lima's place to pick her up.

The drive passed quickly, and soon they arrived at Lima's apartment. Billie could see her former girlfriend waiting outside, looking just as beautiful as she remembered.

As Lima spotted the car and recognized Billie, a mixture of surprise and nerves flashed across her face. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the encounter, and walked over to the car.

Billie stayed in her seat, watching as Lima approached the car and got into the back seat. She could feel the tension in the air, a palpable mixture of unresolved feelings and awkward silence.

Maya, sensing the tension, tried to lighten the mood. "Hey, Lima! It's been a while. You ready for tonight?"

Lima flashed a strained smile and nodded. "Yeah, definitely ready," she said, her voice carefully neutral.

Billie's mom, Maggie, had been listening in on the conversation and wanted to chime in. She turned around to look at Lima, her smile warm and genuine.

"It's true, Lima," she continued. "Your designs have been all the rage lately. I'm so proud of you."

Lima's eyes widened slightly at the unexpected praise from Billie's mother. She hadn't been expecting that, especially since she had assumed Maggie would be angry at her for leaving Billie. She composed herself, blushing a little at the compliment.

"Thank you, Maggie," Lima said, her voice a bit shaky from the flattery. "That means a lot, coming from you."

Billie, who had been silently watching the exchange, could see the surprise on Lima's face. She felt a pang of sadness at the thought that Lima hadn't expected to be spoken to politely by Maggie.

Despite the complicated feelings swirling within her, Billie's heart ached for Lima. She could see the vulnerability in her former girlfriend's eyes, and it reminded her of the soft side of Lima that she had once loved so dearly.

The car pulled up at the airport, where a crowd of fans had already gathered, waiting to catch a glimpse of Billie.

"Looks like we've got a welcome committee," Maya joked as they all climbed out of the car.

Lima joined them as they navigated the crowd, cameras flashing and fans calling out Billie's name. Despite the chaos around them, Billie tried to focus on greeting the fans, signing autographs and taking pictures with them.

Lima watched as Billie interacted with her fans, clearly in her element. It was clear how much Billie loved performing, and seeing her in her natural habitat stirred up a mix of pride and melancholy within Lima.

As the group settled into the private jet, the noise of the fans was replaced by the hum of the engines. They took their seats and quickly got settled in.

Maya stretched and flopped into one of the seats, already preparing to nap for the duration of the flight.
