Chapter 36

Another day,another great surprise awaits,and today I was proposing to zaynab that is engagement i mean ik i still haven't asked her and I'm being all delulu but dw we'll sort it out,that's y bhabhi invited Zaynab over to talk about it.

After fajar prayer,i decided to do some tilawah as it has been a long time since I did it,after that i went for a run in the park nearby followed by which i took a shower and got dressed,i was dressed up in all casual after that i went to the dry cleaning shop to get my suit tailored especially for today.

Uk what's the worst part is we don't even know what Zaynab's opinion is gonna be and we planned the whole engagement sounds funny ikr! But I've got all my trust in Allah because He's the best of planners.

I still can't believe this all happened in less than 24 hours like bhabhi me Bhai and mom and dad were there at zaynab's home yesterday and I think Zaynab wasn't home she had gone out with her sister, we spoke about the proposal and zaynab's dad said okey.

And now here we are preparing and stuff,i still feel we are hurrying like so fast,i rly hope Zaynab isn't hurt by this coz if she does my heart would shatter into pieces.

As the day went on,it was going smoothly and then the time came, Zaynab was arriving in 10 mins her family is already here and I'm panicking coz idk what to do what if she rejects me? Ya Allah this would be embarrassing! But i pursued her parents! But pursuing her is difficult.

Okey calm down zaid i can do this! Just then Bhai came in telling me that Zaynab has arrived and we'll be doing as planned,Bhai wished me all the luck and I was there standing in the garden more like hiding myself so that I don't get caught.

Around an hour I think they came out and were talking i couldn't hear properly so I tried to get closer and ik shouldn't be doing this but the topic was about me so I couldn't help myself but get curious,Ya Allah forgive me for doing this.

This girl,she thinks she isn't good fr me,how can I tell her this that she has stolen my heart right from day 1 and she's had me crying, insomniac etc etc.

And finally she said yes!!! My heart did the longest jump ever known,it was beating so loud and my insides all were dancing and i couldn't stop the smiling just then ruqi Outta nowhere jumped and screamed SHE SAID YESSSSS!.

I quickly moved from there bfr anyone could notice me i slowly went inside through the kitchen and stayed in my room,Bhai came in and told me that I had to go down after getting ready.

I pretended like i didn't know anything and got dressed and came downstairs,i was wearing a suit ikr suprising but only on special occasions and today it was it.

So the engagement took place,and ma sha Allah she was wearing this gorgeous ivory dress,i wasn't allowed to see her but I got a Lil peaks here and there.

The engagement ring,you must be wondering how ik it was her favourite well I think I could see from her office desk it's all purple and this bracelet she always wears it has these amethyst gemstones and though she wears a different watch every weak this bracelet doesn't change.

Heyy I'm not a creep,it's just when I like someone which is for the first time I've experienced I tend to notice things they like and I like to be very detailed and observant.

I hope she rly likes it, after that I was also given a ring, so finally I'm not a bachelor anymore and Im engaged,i couldn't stop myself from looking at my finger.

After that we all sat to have our dinner and as they say goodtimes have to end and with that they left. And I was back in my bedroom coz tmrw awaits.

I couldn't sleep well last night,so I was pretty much awake the whole night and I think I slept for around 4 hours only,so I woke up for tahajjud prayer and prayed it and I also thanked Allah for everything and by the time I was finished it was fajar time so I left for the mosque.

On the way i met Bhai and abbu,i think I was late and they had already left bfr me so we all prayed our fajar prayers and returned home,today we were going to the office as we had some work and i decided to do something that usually is not my thing but I learnt it from Bhai.

Well since now that we are engaged and gifting your fiance isn't a bad idea so a few days back i had got a necklace, it was a rose minimal necklace and i thought why not gift her.

I got dressed in some casuals as usual but with a different colour palette which i usually dont wear.

I missed my bike,coz it's been so long since I went on a ride with it so today I decided to go to the office with my bike around 20 mins later i reached and thank God no one was there so i quitely slipped in the gift on her desk with a Lil note and left to my cabin.

I was curious,i mean i rly hope she likes it so I did sneak a Lil bit outside during the office hours like Outta my cabin and guess what at first she looked clueless from who it was so she was hesitant to open but finally did open.

She smiled looking at the gift and yes she read the letter,uk how much courage it takes to write your emotions out.i returned to my cabin and continued my work.
