The warm Georgia sun poured through the windows of the venue, casting a golden glow across the beautifully decorated space. Gold and earthy tones filled the room, with greenery and animal accents throughout. At the center was a stunning balloon arch in rich browns, greens, and golds, framing a vibrant backdrop that read, "A Little King Is On His Way." Plush lions and jungle foliage added to the Lion King–themed aesthetic, making the entire baby shower feel like something out of a storybook.
Rodney and Saniyah beamed as they greeted guests. Saniyah, dressed in a fitted olive-green dress that highlighted her small baby bump, laughed easily as guests fussed over her. Monica and Angel stood nearby, chatting with family and friends while keeping an eye on their youngest, Serenity, who was zipping around in her tiny gold sneakers.
Monica looked radiant in a flowing burnt orange dress that caught the light perfectly, while Angel complemented her in a form-fitting cream maxi dress and gold jewelry. The two of them were visibly proud, smiling as they watched their children enjoying the celebration.
Romelo and Laiyah had arrived just moments before and were already deep in conversation with their brother. Romelo had brought his girlfriend Skai, who was sitting beside him laughing as Laiyah teased him about being the "calm parent" one day.
The baby shower was in full swing, and the warm Georgia sun cast a soft glow over the outdoor venue decorated with vibrant greenery, golden accents, and animal prints. The phrase "A Little King Is on His Way" stood boldly across the balloon arch, drawing every guest in for photo ops the moment they arrived. Monica and Angel were among the first to take pictures with Rodney and Saniyah, all of them beaming with joy. Romelo stood behind the camera, snapping away before jumping into a silly shot with Laiyah and Serenity.
"Okay, okay—one serious one now," Monica said with a laugh as Romelo made another goofy face beside his little sisters.
Laiyah smoothed out her sundress, then flashed a perfect smile while Serenity tried to mimic her pose, hands on hips and chin up.
"Who taught you that?" Angel asked, crouching next to Serenity.
"You did," she said with a proud little grin, making everyone laugh.
Inside the tent, guests were gathered around cocktail tables and food stations while music from the Lion King soundtrack played softly in the background. The family-style meal was underway, but the laughter kept pausing for games.
Monica and Angel were in the middle of a hilarious baby food tasting game with Saniyah and Rodney. The four of them were blindfolded, trying to guess the mystery flavors being spoon-fed by Laiyah and Romelo.
"This better not be peas," Monica said with a grimace.
"It's peas," Angel confirmed, nearly gagging.
Rodney cracked up. "Y'all are dramatic. That was peaches!"
"No way!" Monica said, pulling her blindfold off as everyone erupted in laughter.
Later, during the bottle race, Romelo, Rodney, and a couple of his friends each had to drink juice from baby bottles while the women cheered them on. Monica was doubled over in laughter watching Romelo try not to choke mid-race.
"You're doing great, baby!" Angel teased, waving a tiny bib in the air like a rally flag.
Romelo wiped his mouth, pretending to look embarrassed. "I did this for y'all."
Back near the lounge seating, Saniyah rested her hands over her baby bump as Serenity climbed into her lap.
"Are you excited to be a big cousin?" Saniyah asked her.
