Leonardo released my forearm and shoved me into the car. As I got into the car, the door slammed shut so fast after, that my hands shook excessively. Leonardo jumped into the driver seat, gripped the wheel, and glanced in the mirror after fastening his seatbelt. His brown eyes narrowed when he noticed me.
"Please, fasten your seatbelt," although his eyes burnt with fire, he voiced that one sentence too calmly.
I buckled up, and nodded, not wanting to irritate him further. I should stop obeying his every command since it's demeaning, but something told me I must listen to him right now.
Dante climbed into the passenger seat, and turned to us, "How did she manage to slip through? She led us by the nose for a whole month."
The car moved away from the headquarters. The industrial building disappeared as we sped up. The inertia threw me into the sea, so I dug my nails into the leather.
"I don't know," Leonardo snapped and punched the wheel.

"Leonardo, please, slow down," I muttered out of breath.
Although I could feel how my eyes pleaded, he ignored my words; it seemed the too-dark eyes staring at the passing horizon darkened even more. Gripped by excitement, he twisted the wheel, racing through fields and meadows, and turned onto a dirt road. In the distance, the D'Angelo estate stretched out.
Driving uphill, we sped up even more, until the car abruptly stopped at a cobblestone path. The fountain's spray hit the car roof as bullets. The men got out of the car so quickly that I didn't have time to catch my breath.
Leonardo ran around the card, tore my door open, and ordered, "Get out."
With trembling fingers, I unbuckled my seatbelt and clambered out of the car. He didn't touch me, just meekly ordered me to follow. I knew that this control was mainly based on the contract between our families; because of it, I couldn't move a meter away from Leonardo. But that mere hope, that maybe he's doing it because of the need to protect me, and not because of the duty,
